This past Saturday morning I walked in a crowd of about 1,500 people to support a good cause. I felt the sting of tears as I looked around before our walk. I wondered what compelled men, women and children to raise money for our crisis pregnancy centers.
Did they have personal experience with an unplanned pregnancy?
Did they know the pain and shame of choice like I did?
Do they see value in offering free resources like pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, maternity clothes, baby clothes, diapers and formula, parenting education, abstinence education, and even post-abortion Bible study resources?
Through the generosity of others, I raised $520 for Life Network. Unfortunately I didn’t run the 5K like I had planned. My knees gave me fits as I trained, so I didn’t keep up with my running schedule. But I did show up and walk two miles with our puppy, Teddy.
Loved this group of young girls. I talked with the gal who made all of these t-shirts. What a sweetheart.
Love that this guy walked with his guitar.
Teddy loved hiding in my shade.
This mobile pregnancy center is so cool.
I guess Teddy was hot after two miles. He stepped in an ice/water bottle filled pool. We have a pool for him at home too.
We must walk together to make a difference, whether we’re walking through life with a few friends or we’re walking to raise money, we must stick together. Walking alone is not recommended. (Read Genesis 2)
We need each other.
And I need you.
Together we can accomplish so much more than if we all go our own way. So let’s walk together. Let’s make a difference in the lives of those around us.
Where are you walking? Who are you reaching out to?
Every step you take matters, so don’t stop walking.
You matter.
Remember a person is a person no matter how small.
Don’t let your feelings of smallness stop you.
Keep walking.
Q4U: What are you compelled to support and why?
Thank you for your support here on my blog. And a special thank you again for all who gave to support life.

What a wonderful walking cause, Tiffany. Glad you and Teddy participated. I love the picture of him in the ice water. : )

Thanks, Kim. I did this walk two years earlier too. That time my family was able to be there. Not this year, too many other commitments.
