Thursday’s here, are you ready to be thankful? Hope so. Over the years, I’ve developed a habit of thanking God for “another day” when I wake up. Often my list of thanks goes on to who God is. I love thinking about God’s character. What comfort we have in knowing GOD IS WHO HE SAYS HE IS no matter what changes around us.
Today, I have another random thankful list. I am thankful for:
* the dancing leaves on the streets. The fallen leaves bounce and swirl and leap. As I drive, I find the leaves to be eye catching, entertaining, and quite beautiful as they travel wherever the wind blows.
* my daughter’s childlike heart. She reminds me to pay attention. With two huge cottonwoods dropping their leaves in our driveway, Hannah rolls down her window to hear the “crunch” as we drive over their mess. I’ve learned to do the same.
* an opportunity to teach with my teenage son. Sometimes talks are painfully hard but good. Last night was one of those times. I pray Justin learned a hard lesson and that I spoke with love. I pray he felt my “I forgive you. I will stand by you no matter what. I love you unconditionally.”
* prayer. My soul rises when I pray. I wake up. Over the past week, I’ve had extra prayer time, both alone and with friends, I feel more alive in Christ because of prayer. I love being able to share it ALL with the greatest Listener ever. God’s peace and joy reign in me this week.
* another chance to share my “laugh” message with moms tonight. I’m talking with another MOPS(Moms of Preschoolers group) about bringing laughter into their homes. I pray they feel challenged to add more fun during this season of parenting.
* courage. I used to be so fearful. I’m talking crippling fears. Panic. Anxiety. The whole deal. Lately, I’ve felt different and more bold in what I write about and say. I thank God for this freeing change. In January, I’m trying something new. I signed up for the women’s retreat drama team. Should be an adventure. Hope it’s fun!
* freedom. This word packs a punch. I could add depth to it but the word stands alone with strength and healing. I’m there.
* love. God is love. Need I say more?

I love your thankful heart…in the simple things of life and the more compelling areas too. I, too, have had a teenage son at home and have another one now…how our words can either lift up and enlighten or tear down and destroy. I have been guilty of both in the past. I have and still at times battle with anxiety, but not crippling…only through Jesus Christ have I made it through some days.
Blesss you, Tiffany…as you bless me repeatedly.
Happy TT!!

Good morning Tiffany! It is a great day and one for which we can be thankful. Fear can be such an interference in our lives. At times, I struggle with it. And yet faith can overcome. I’m learning that baby step by baby step. May you be encouraged today.

Great list today.
Have you posted your “laugh” message here anywhere? I’d love to see it. We mean well, but can always use some help!

Loved that you put Elliot Yamin on your playlist(yes, I pay attention to the music:o)), you must have some soul in you sista! Love it that you do! I am very thankful today for God’s grace above all things and for His presence when it feels so close. I understand fear. I deal with it as well. But I am learning that God’s grace is sufficient to make me brave if I just take the first step. He’ll take all the rest with me. I am thankful for you today my sweet friend. Very very thankful…

I love your list, so simple and so beautiful. I was also wondering about your laugh message. Have you shared it or a portion of it online. Thanks for the reminder of God’s love!

Thank you “refreshmom” and “named alicia” for asking about my laugh talk. I did tape it the last time I gave it. I will try and figure out how to upload parts or all of it soon. I’m not techy and that kind of stuff takes me a long time to figure out. But I’m learning.
Thanks all of you for your love and support! Always appreciate your words.

Thanks, I like this layout better too. I love all kinds of music though most of my time is spent with praise and worship songs. I think Kari Jobe lives at my house as much as I listen to her and Christ For The Nations, but I do like a round selection of tunes. Just whatever mood I am in.
Oh my gosh! Don’t even suggest such a thing! No music!!!! Well, I would cease to exist I do believe!! Music is everything to me. Praise is everything.
When you told me that day that I was His song and the fact that you keep telling me to sing, my friend, you have no idea what you are speaking over my life. No idea(then again, maybe you do). Thank you so much. It is my only desire.
And I have received every comment of yours entirely. Please pray for open doors to this writing thing and to the singing thing. Please pray taht not only would He give me words to write in praise to Him for others to see and feel, but that in the night hours He would wake me with beautiful songs to write of praise to His heart.
Thank you for your friendship. It means alot!
Much blessings and love,
Nicole
