Today’s the day! The first day of my participation in National Blog Posting Month, otherwise known as NaBloPoMo. Link to my page if you want to visit me there.
The challenge is to post everyday for 30 days straight. And since I joined the “30 days of thanks” group, I will be posting my thanks here at times. Not sure if I will focus on thanks everyday here, but I will be intentionally thankful all month long.
So on with my thanks for this Thursday. I am thankful for:
my mobility. I can walk, climb my stairs, type, open a jar, hug, drive a car, and write in my journal.
the ability to laugh–and at myself.
God’s provision for me with freelance writing.
my friendships, both near and far.
my daughter’s joy carving a pumpkin. You would’ve thought she was at Disneyland. Her excitement is incredible. Little things make her giddy.
my son’s touchdown at the last football game of the season. Wish I was there to see it. It was away–two and a half hours away.
my husband’s willingness to pursue me in conversation when I am grumpy. And our weekend away for my belated birthday.
my mom’s phone calls. Her sharing her experiences with me about when my youngest brother had cancer.

Hi Tiffany,
Wow, what a challenge to blog each day! I’m new here in blogland, it’s been a challenge for me already.
Thanks so much for tagging me yesterday, that was alot of fun! I got to tag my friend Tonya, and she had fun too.
I wanted to let you know that the English tea with cream was my favorite’s also.
I’ve discovered another great tea, so, since it’s Thankful Thursday I’ll give thanks for that too.
It’s called Earl Grey Creme. I discovered it an English Tea Room years ago, oh my.
Thanks for being so patient with your mom as she shares your brother’s journey with cancer. What a special woman she must be.
I’m so glad it had a nice ending.
Happy TT to you,
Susan

The ability to laugh – yes, it appears that you have that! And at ourselves – well, that’s the most important thing, isn’t it? (Stop taking myself so seriously and start taking God more seriously)
