Always love this day. I value being thankful. It truly does lift my spirits.
Today I am thankful for:
* my trip to Florida last week. Enjoyed the beach, the lighting show one night, the dolphins I saw with my binoculars, writing time, and dinners with my husband in the evenings.
* the prayers of others. I’m overwhelmed to know strangers, I call my new friends, pray for me.
* relationships. I’m constantly thankful for people. Especially some of my new blogging friendships. Can never have too many friends.
* TV time with my teenage son last night, laughing together.
* a quick visit with my aunt and uncle last night. Always nice to see family.
* phone call with my mom. Love it when we have time to share heart to heart.
* summertime fruits. Yum!
* puppy pics. My parents’ golden retriever had pups recently. Who doesn’t think they are adorable when they are little? Loved opening each emailed photo. So cute!
* my daughter’s excitement over a book/Bible study I bought for us to do together. She’s jumping inside knowing we will be having tea parties and manicures as part of the lessons.
* my deadline today. Almost to the mountain top with my teen girls project called The Girlfriend Codes. Praying for strength to add the final touches. Praying my agent likes it.
* my critique group. These two friends know their stuff and offer such good feedback. They give and give. Encourage and listen. I’m beyond grateful.
* peace. Still amazed at my level of inner peace. Thank you, Lord.
PS Please pray for Hannah. She’s still sick with a stomach bug. Thought she was over it, then it returned. Hate seeing my baby hurting.
Thank you, Iris, at Sting My Heart for giving us a place to share our thanks every Thursday. Appreciate your words each week.

What a wonderful list of things to be thankful for. I too love this day, it does something for my heart to focus on the things I need to be thankful for rather than all the things that seem to be going wrong…
I am praying for healing for your daughter, it is no fun to be sick, especially on a holiday with lots of good food around!
Blessings!

“…the prayers of others…” me too! It really grabs me sometimes, like the spirit is there reminding me “Someone’s praying for you Sheila.” God’s got us surrounded with each other in His body! what comfort!

So many wonderful things to be thankful for. I hope in the Lord your daughter gets well soon. My 10 ds had the stomach bug. He got something from the clinic for stomach cramps (I dont know what they gave him)that stopped the nausea and he was able to take fluids and a BRAT diet. Then he was over it the next day.
Have a wonderful July 4th weekend!
Blessings in Christ-

I came across your blog from “5 Minutes for Mom” and I adore your blog site π I will keep Hannah in my prayers and I hope she will feel better soon! I adore your “Thankful Thursday” idea, I definitely need to input that into my weekly Thursdays. Thank you!

Tiffany, I got here via Susan at Forever His, and I’m glad I did. Anybody who loves tea as much or more than I do is an instant friend of mine:). I’m looking forward to looking around your blog more. I do a post every Tuesday called TO THE TUNE OF TEA TUESDAYS. Maybe you’d like to go over and look one day. I’m obviously not half the gifted writer you are, but you might find something interesting there. I’d like to try out Thankful Thursdays. I’ve seen it on others’ blogs before and have never joined in. There is always something to be thankful for. Hope your daughter gets to feeling better soon. Have a great day!
