Thankful this Thursday for:
the Writing for the Soul Conference starting tonight. This will be my fifth year attending. There’s nothing like being at a five star resort for inspiration, education, and fellowship. I’m always overwhelmed by the people I meet. A couple of them are now some of my closest friends. What a gift!
the courage to confront my past sexual abuse. Without God, I wouldn’t be able to deal with this. But with him, I can and I will. It’s painful but it’s the only way to healing. I couldn’t believe the groanings that came out of me last Friday. I’ve never allowed myself to feel the pain until then. I’ve always told my story from a distance. My life mission is to help other women with issues that cause them shame. This one is a huge!
prayer from others. I’m touched to know people are praying for me. I feel so comforted knowing I am not alone. The battle is won through intercession. Thank you friends and family. You help me stand on truth.
gifts from friends. Today I found a “love package” from my sweet friend, Roxanne. She baked me some bread, which she called the bread of life. She added her homemade granola and a chenille blanket to remind me to snuggle into God’s love. And yesterday my friend Beth gave me a beautiful, silver bracelet that says “Believe in Yourself.” She bought one for me, Scoti and herself. The three of us are going to the conference together. Trusting God and believing in his plan for us.
Thank you both for showing me God’s love in a tangible way. Wow!
There’s four big ones. Gotta get ready for the big four day adventure now. Please pray for me. I really want to encourage others at the conference. I want to see those who need comfort and act with compassion. I don’t want the weekend to be all about what I can get, I want to give…Remember that’s my word for 2008.
Freely GIVE!
Hugs to all!
Thank you to Iris at Sting My Heart for hosting this week’s Thankful Thursday.

Thank you, Tiffany for your vulnerability. I’m praying the Lord gives you great boldness and awareness of those around you.
It’s amazing, but when the Lord brings you out of an abusive life, whether sexual, physical, verbal or emotional, He gives you this uncanny awareness of who is hiding behind a mask. Others who have not experienced such great abuses often miss it.
I’m excited to hear how God continues to use you.

I am moved by your post. I want to stop at “prayer from others”. One of the most wonderful things in the Christian blogging comunity is meeting people who care. May God bless you this weekend and always.

Tiffany, have I told you what encouragement I receive from you? Just by sitting at the table? (blogtable) and fellowshipping by reading your heart written words…Thanks for sharing your thankful heart.

Wow Tiffany,
I hope to meet you one day, here in this life or the next.
I was a student of CWG and finished my lessons in October. I would have loved to attend the conference.
Hope the Lord meets you there in a powerful way. Lynn
