Celebrating my favorite day to blog. Thankful Thursdays. Today I am thankful for:
* my sweet kids, Justin and Hannah and our thankful journal time last night.
* for the faith and testimony of Robert Rogers in his book, Into the Deep. Call me crazy but I love reading books about deep loss and how people get through it. This book is a hard and yet faith building read. Rogers lost his wife and four children in a flash flood in 2003.
* beautiful skies. I’m always looking up and watching the transforming paintings above. It brings me such joy.
* Derek’s work Christmas party. The owner of the company is so generous. They even bought personal gifts for our children.
* perspective. With the recent events at New Life Church, I am more aware of my attitude. Little inconveniences are less annoying. Car troubles are not a huge deal, but rather a bump in the road.
* snow days. Hannah and I went out for pizza, a dollar movie, and to the YMCA. Thanks to my friend, Roxanne, who was willing to make the day special for our kids. I would’ve stayed home otherwise. I don’t drive bad weather unless I have to. Thanks, Roxanne.
* the movie, Mother Teresa. What an inspiring film. I cried more than once. Good tears.
* hope of Scripture. I cling to the verse that says, “In this world you will have troubles, but take heart, I have overcome the world.” Thank you, Lord, for life-giving words in our world full of heartaches. Help us see the good among it all.
Thanks to Laurel for hosting this week’s Thankful Thursday!

Hey Tiffany,
Great list, as always!
Thanks for sharing about that book, yep, I like reading those kinds of stories too.
Have you read “Holding on to Hope” by Nancy Guthrie? Incredible.
She also wrote a one year devotional. I bought a case of them and give them out as gifts when someone is going through a really rough time or lost a child.
Blessings to you,
Susan
