(random selection of photos of Justin over the last couple years)
Thankful this Thursday, June 5th, for my son. Justin is 15 today. Happy Birthday!
(I’m busy again this week. But had to pause today to honor my son’s life. He is a gift from God. I am thankful for my boy today and everyday. I should be back to more frequent posts next week.)
Justin, you make me a happy mom.
Your laughter makes me laugh. I notice the silly things you write or change on my dry erase board. You can still trick me with your real sounding messages on your cell phone. I can’t believe I talk back to your voicemail.
Your sensitivity and compassion to other guys who don’t have many friends at school touches me. This character trait of yours really stands out. You are merciful and that is a gift.
Your athletic talent is fun to watch from the stands. Next year, you get to play football under the new Friday night lights. Yeah!
Your willingness to tell the truth blesses me. I know it’s not easy sometimes.
The way you treat the younger neighborhood kids is amazing. You are patient and willing to be one of them while you are with them. That speaks volumes to them I know.
I love watching you get stronger as you discipline yourself to work out. Yes, you can beat me arm wrestling now. You win. Remember, I am not competitive.
Your commitment to your grades this year had paid off. Mom and Dad are proud of you.
Your questions are always welcome, even if I don’t agree.
I know you don’t want to hear this, but you are musically talented too. I remember watching you learn a song on your guitar by ear. Same thing with Hannah’s keyboard. And I will always cherish your singing we have on video and your elementary choir days.
You take great pictures too. You have an eye for art through digital photography. Your phone pics are proof of that.
Your willingness to listen to your parents’ talks means a lot. You respect what we have to say. I know you have your own opinion too.
Your investment into your faith blesses me. I love knowing you connect with other believers through cell groups. These friends of faith can help carry you through times of trial. Prayer works.
Thank you for always caring about your sister. I appreciate knowing you are kind to her. Most of the time. 🙂
We all appreciate having you in our home. Only three more years and you are an adult. Off and running with your own life. Where did your childhood go? Glad I took pictures and made videos.
Please know I am always here for you. I pray for you all the time. I love you. Always. My love is unconditional. I am here to talk about anything, anytime. You are never alone. God is always with you. He loves you with perfect love. Trust Him with your life and calling. He knows best.
This post is to celebrate you today–my firstborn son. Happy Birthday, J.
Thanks to Iris at Sting My Heart for hosting this week’s Thankful Thursday. Because of your blog, we all have a place to say our weekly thanks.

Happy Birthday Justin!!!
Hi Tiffany,
I didn’t realize or could not remember, (not unusual for me these days…) you had a Justin.
So do I! My Justin is my second born. Very handsome like yours, and a very talented musician.
I loved the pictures, he’s just adorable! (now I know he wouldn’t be fond of that description) So, I’ll say striking, handsome, a real great looking guy!
Hope you enjoy his celebration today.
Blessings♥

And a little sister too . . .
