Father God, where do I start to thank You for who You are in my life? I love Your many names. Redeemer. My first love. My daily bread. El Roi, the God who sees me. Emmanuel, God with us. Jehovah Rapha, my healer. My cornerstone, my strong tower, creator of heaven and earth. The one and only true God. Full of mercy and grace and unfailing love. You are LORD. Your name is above every name. I could go on and on. Jesus, You have changed my life.
How can I ever stop thanking You for pulling me out of my pit of shame?
God, I praise You in the good and bad times. No matter what I am going through You are faithful. Your character doesn’t change. Even though I don’t understand Your ways, You are always trustworthy. I love and adore You, Lord Jesus.
Today I lift up those who are bound by shame, especially as I commit myself again to writing the book on freedom from shame. So many people, even believers, are stuck feeling unworthy of Your forgiveness and love. Why is this? Why are we bound to our past? How long, oh Lord, must we struggle with the lies we’ve believed? How long will the enemy torment us with our sins? How long will we listen to the voices that haunt us? Goodness, it’s past time. Freedom is available now. Today! I pray you enable me to write Your words by Your Spirit. Awaken my heart. Help me see more of You. Help me do Your will and enter into the depths of Your love. Help me face my fears to help a friend in need.
Oh how I long to point all who read anything I write to Your truths that transform. Not my words, only Yours. Only You are able to take our mess and create in us a redemptive message that changes lives for Your glory.
Wow, who knew You would take the worst of me and use it to help others find freedom. I’ve seen You do this time and time again, especially with my choice of abortion. You have taken my pain and shame and used it to help others find healing in Your wings. Glory. And oh how I long to embrace my precious unborn daughter Grace who I fully believe will be glad to see me one day in heaven. There is no pain or bitterness there, only love. Your great love. Your ways amaze me. Your amazing awaits all who believe. We look to You, Jesus, for our healing and hope. You are the answer to all of our questions.
Thank YOU, Jesus.
In your powerful and perfect name I pray. Amen.
