Father God, thank You for another week on earth. I’m so thankful for life itself. I appreciate the beauty in every day: sunrises, sunsets, summer storms and rainbows that follow, birds at my feeder, green grass, flowers, music, my five senses, a home, a car, food, clean drinking water, a hot shower and a bed to rest in–and the sweet things of life like chocolate. Thank You for relationships near and far. Thank You for the healing gift of laughter. Thank You for the positive aspects of technology and how it connects the world.
Thank You for Your Word that renews my foggy mind. Thank You for new mercies every morning because I so need new mercy. Thank You for adopting me into Your family. What joy it is to know I’m part of a huge family of brothers and sisters. Thank You for Your faithfulness and forgiveness.
Forgive me for the times when I choose to seek first my kingdom instead of Yours. Forgive me of my pride when I think I know better than You do what’s best for me. Forgive me for being disobedient when I know what You’ve told me.
Father God, please comfort those who are going through hard times right now. Let them know You are with them always. Give them a hope and a future. Provide for each person with what they need whether it’s physical, emotional, financial, or spiritual. Send joy their way. Minister to their wounds. Prompt others to reach out and be a blessing.
Lord Jesus, You know me better than I know myself. You know I’m in need of more healing from my past. The past is front and center lately, and I’m ready to face it head on. As I look deeper, I see there is a hidden, deep wound that needs Your touch. It’s ugly, ugly. I’m afraid of what I might find if I really go there.
So today I give You my broken, wounded heart. Please cut out the shame and replace it with something worth clinging to: YOU. PERFECT LOVE. Help me know how to share and what to share when it’s time. I don’t want pity from others nor do I want to steal Your glory. I only want to share if sharing will be benefit others who are down.
I know what the enemy meant for harm, You will use for good. By faith, I believe You are working something beautiful out of the worst in me. Come Holy Spirit.
I praise Your name, Jesus. You alone are to be lifted high. I bow down to worship You. Today and always. You are the lifter of my head and the Rock I find refuge in. Hide me under the shelter of Your wings. You are my hiding place. I love You more each day. Thank You for loving me MORE…In Jesus name, Amen.

Hi Tiffany,
Thanks for sending up intercessory prayers. I was blessed as I spoke the words God put on your heart to write. I believe that many have and will experience a breakthrough in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Dear Tiffany,
Forgive me, but I feel that I need to explain a bit about my prayer (the one about Tanzania).
My wife was born and raised in Tanzania, and I lived and worked there for a number of years (we first met at a Tanzanian secondary school where we both taught). In many ways Tanzania will always be our home, since we have friends and family that live there.
Tanzania is a country in East Africa on the Indian Ocean, and is just south of the Equator. Tanzania consists of the mostly Christian mainland (once called Tanganyika) and the almost exclusively Islamic coastal area and islands of Zanzibar and Pemba. This division has lead to a lot of civil and religious strife in one of the poorest countries of the world.
This year there is a national election in Tanzania for the President and Members of Parliament (these elections happen every five years). The 2000 elections were especially violent in the coastal regions and islands of Zanzibar and Pemba, and from what I have heard it is possible that this year could be even worse.
During the month of Ramadan Christians living in the islands and coastal area are often subjected to persecution for failing to publicly fast. Religious freedom is supposed to be guaranteed by the Tanzanian Constitution, but in reality the authorities have been known to look the other way when Christians are attacked. Most distressing to me are reports that some Christians in the mainland are now engaging in reprisal attacks against Muslims to "pay them back".
Again, forgive me for the long explanation, which is already longer than the prayer itself. I am impressed with "prayer warriors" such as yourself and your readers, and would like to ask for prayers for a special people.

A beautiful prayer and thanks for the prayer you left for my hearing on my blog. It is a little better but not what I would like it to be.
I totally put my faith in God and believe He will heal me by the stripes of His Son, Jesus. I also have faith in the prayers (like you) of others who are praying.
To God be the glory,
AE
