Father God, thank You for the freedom of being able to worship You. Thank You for the way You choose to reveal Yourself to me every day. Thank You for always being with me. You are faithful. I find comfort knowing I am never alone. I am always accepted, embraced, forgiven, and loved.
Forgive me for doubting You will come through for me. Forgive me for my stubborn and rebellious heart. Forgive me for the times I tune You out in order to live selfishly and comfortably. Thank You for Your mercy and grace in my time of need.
I praise You for who You are. My source of strength. My hope. My first love.
Thank You for Your Word that continues to remind me of Your promises. The truth that sets me free. Thank You for Your Holy Spirit that points out truth when I need it most. Thank You for the joy and peace found in knowing You.
Thank You for my family and friends. What a gift relationships are.
Right now I pray for those bound to addictions. Those who cannot live a day without a prescription pill, alcohol, or whatever the drug of choice may be. I ask for Your hand to reach out and save them before they destroy themselves. Give them a purpose and hope again. Move into their hearts and set them free. Break the chains off of them. Let them find a new high, in You the Most High. Captivate them with Your powerful, personal presence. Speak to them about how much You love them–even still.
I pray for those who are burdened over their adult children and their current choices today. Comfort them and remind them of Your promises for the thousands of generations who love You. I pray that these sons and daughters would stop chasing those things that don’t last and start chasing You. Thank You that You will never stop pursuing those You love.
I pray for all those in ministry here and across the globe. Bless them with more strength, daily grace, enable to finish strong, and to not lose heart. Teach them how to model Your love. Give them a passion for the things that break Your heart. Continue to guide them to the people who need You and help most.
I love You, Jesus. Thank You for loving me first.
Amen

(Had to delete link because it didn’t work anymore after I switched to WP. Sorry)

I thank you for the prayers you write every week, and for your love for all people.
Addiction may be the cruelest game the Enemy plays with us. Often, people with addictions are either unaware or in denial about their destructive impact on those around them. Unfortunately, there really is no such thing as a private addiction.
May God continue to bless the works of your hands!
