Sweet P’s: Prayer, Petition and Praise

Father God, wow, time is flying by. It’s almost Thanksgiving and soon after it’ll be Christmas. Where has this year went? Where did my babies go? They are now both teens and I feel like time went by in a blink. Your Word says You make ALL things beautiful in its time. Even though time seems to be flying by I know we will have endless time with You in heaven. And I believe it will be full of beauty. All things beautiful indeed.

Thank You for all the good gifts You’ve given me. Thank You for my health, my family and my home. Thank You for my morning coffee and the birds that come and enjoy my feeders with their sweet songs. Thank You for the peace only You can give. Thank You for the Holy Spirit, my comforter and the One who reminds me of Your Word as I go about my day. Thank You for the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control.

Thank You for my Blog Talk Radio show with Barbara Keene and our friend today Betty Shoopman. We pray our conversations will always bring You glory, even when we all have technical difficulties. We want to make Your name known across the airwaves. Whether one or many hear. We long to invite others to share what You are doing in their lives. Because knowing You is life changing. Knowing You is what makes my heart sing.

God, I love to talk about You. How big and great You are. How personal You speak. How much You long to reach the far ends of the earth with Your love.

Today, I pause to pray for those serving in the military. Please God strengthen those away from their families. Be there in those desert places with those brave men and women. Minister to them, let them know You are with them. Be with the wives home alone. Be with their children. There are so many wounded warriors coming home that need Your healing touch. I pray You would restore them and renew their strength. Help them adjust to life at home again after all they’ve experienced. Bless them, Lord.

I pray today that more hearts will be softened and open to hearing the gospel. I pray the family of God will continue to grow. More family to love. More brothers and sisters, Your sons and daughters.

Please Lord, move in our hearts. We want to know You more. Show us Your glory. Increase our faith. Give us eyes to see and ears to hear Your invitation to go for You. We want to welcome in those who are forgotten, those without hope, those who need a savior and need to be set free. Come, Jesus, come and make us uncomfortable. So that we will move up and out and reach out to our neighbors near and far.

I love You, Jesus. I adore You. I worship You in spirit and in truth. I bless Your holy name. You are worthy of my praise. ALL the time. Even when time happens in a blink. Help me to live each day with purpose. I need You to teach me how to love unconditionally. In Your name I pray, Amen
