Father God, thank You for another week with You and those I love. Thank You for Your Word that calms my heart. Thank You for the Holy Spirit, my comforter and guide. Thank You for Jesus, the lover of my soul, the one who loves me so much He sacrificed all. Perfect love has redeemed me. Praise! What grace to know You embrace me with all that I am. A mess on many days. Thank You for my birthday yesterday, a day You picked for my earthly existence. Life is a gift. On good and bad days, You are still worthy of praise.
I need You, Lord. Today especially. My heart is broken for those I know who are suffering loss of loved ones, suffering in hospitals, those I know who are unemployed and hungry, the millions of forgotten orphans, millions of boys and girls bound by sexual trafficking, still crying out for rescue.
What can someone like me do to bring light, love and hope to so many in need? I feel so small. So helpless.
I am nothing without You. I cannot begin to bare the weight of these burdens. These are lives. Precious lives You created to for Your good pleasure, to know You intimately.
I give each need, each heart, to You. Please, Lord, come quickly. Bring healing and provision. Rescue those in horrific situations. Stop the enemy’s plan to kill, steal and destroy. Please, somehow, some way redeem these lives. Move mountains and allow them to see You. Flood them with Your love and warm embrace. Tend to their bloody wounds. Care for them.
Use us to be Your hands and feet. Give us Your heart for people. Don’t let us get too comfortable when so many need hope. They need to see Jesus in action. Let us be that to those we come in contact with today.
Open our eyes and ears, Lord. We are looking and listening for Your voice. Thank You for inviting us to participate in the greatest of gifts: Loving and helping people.
I love You, Jesus. Amen.

Happy Birthday, Tiffany! You are such a beautiful woman of God! As you shared your prayer requests, my mind went to James 5:16. We wonder what we can do in these situations and it can be so overwhelming when we have such a heart as yours. God has given you his compassion and I just want to encourage and remind you that your "fervent" prayers are able to accomplish so much more than we are able to do in the physical. How awesome that Jesus intercedes daily and we get to agree with Him! Thank you for sharing.

First off, happy birthday! Yesterday was my brother's birthday as well. I pray it's a blessed year of increased favor and grace. ๐
Amen to your prayer. We can feel so small, but we remember that the fervent prayer of a righteous man (or woman) accomplishes much! Thank you Tiffany.

Happy Belated Birthday, Tiffany. True we seem so small in comparison to the many needs in the world. But for the one person we may reached it makes a difference.

Happy birthday Tiffany. I love the song we sing in church "My God, he can move the mountain. He is mighty to save, He is mighty to save."
That's why our prayers can be so powerful as we lift them up to the One who can move the mountain.
