This headline caught my eye the day we finished up the She Speaks Conference. I believe it is a word: a commissioning to God’s women after an amazing weekend. It was time for us to go beyond the walls of the Embassy Suites and out into our worlds.
God’s two-letter-word-commission never changes:
Go!
Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, βAll authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.β (emphasis mine)
Matthew 28:16-20
Sure we ate amazing meals, sat under gifted teachers and gleaned from one another. We prayed, laughed and cried together. But like all great things, this too must end. We had to pack our bags and head back to our hometowns all over the US and abroad.
What are you doing today to continue the work God started in you last month?
Please don’t tell me you are in the “some that doubted” category. I must confess I have been there over the past week. π It’s no fun. It’s torment for a dreamer like me.
I believe this headline is a stop, look and listen reminder for you and me today. Reread the scripture above and then:
Shake off the doubt dust and walk in confidence. Go! God is with you always. He’s sending you out for His glory. Never alone, but with His presence and by His power and spirit.
Go in peace.
I’m cheering you on from Colorado Springs.
(I forgot I had this draft started from the conference. Feel compelled to post today before I run out for more school supplies)

Yes! GO! So! I’m trying not to run around in circles like a chicken with my head cut off but rather full feather covered! Thanks for the stop look and listen!

LOVE!! “it’s torment for a dreamer like me.” Me too, sister. Wiping off that doubt dust & moving boldly forward with Christ! Thank you for this!

Amen, Tiffany! I’ve felt the same way after mission trips. When God blesses us with these amazing experiences He wants us to DO something with them. He’s gassed up our tanks and wants us to GO!
Blessings,
Kelli
