Do you need a visual reminder of God’s protection?
Here it is.
Powerful words on a shoebox.
I will.
We serve a God of I will’s.
Today let’s remember who holds the future, the great God, I AM.
The great God, I WILL.
“No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Justas I was with Moses, soI will be with you.I will not leave you or forsake you.” Joshua 1:5 ESV
“Because the poor are plundered and the needy groan,
I will now arise,” says the LORD.
“I will protect them from those who malign them.” Psalm 12:5 NIV
“Because he loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.” Psalm 91:14 NIV

A beautiful reflection (as always).
I saw the words ‘protect this house’ as part of the message though. Maybe it’s because of so much of the conversation about the defunding of PP and resultant discussion of NFP and feminism and womens’ bodies, but I thought of it as a metaphor for protecting our bodies (the house that shelters our souls while on this earth; the house the shelters the unborn). I have no scripture basis for this, it is just the first thought that popped into my mind.

Rebecca, You are right “protect this house” is part of the message to me too.
I see it as we “house” the Holy Spirit. And yes, God will “protect this house”, His house, the place where He lives in us.
Obviously that idea could confuse some with questions like, “I’m sick, so why isn’t God protecting me?” I won’t go there. 🙂
As someone who’s been abused, I’ve had to come to terms with God’s idea of “protection” and mine are not the same. I believe our spirit is protected. I cannot be snatched away from my eternal house.
Thanks for sharing…I appreciate you.

Yes, praise HIM and HIM alone.

You really know how to say what some of us need to hear just when we need to hear it. The “I WILL” gave me such reassurance. It makes me remind myself He is in charge (not I) and that is all that matters. Thank you.

Thanks, sometimes we all need a reminder from the Lord. We often get caught up in our situation and get distracted.

Oh I love those verses! God is so good to us and his faithfulness extends to a thousand generations. Thank you for the reminder that He will.
