I love when God invades my ordinary world. He uses the most creative things to remind me of His Word and His presence. Like this sign from Justin’s football game last week.
Since reading this sign, God and I talked something like this:
Remember Peter?
Yes, Lord.
What did he need when he saw Me walking on water to calm his fear?
Please remind me.
Peter needed Me to invite him to the water to believe.
Oh yeah.
What did I say to him?
(Me rereading Matthew 14:22-32 for answers.)
“Come.”
A one word invitation and Peter responded with faith.
Yes he did and he walked on water. That is until he looked away from You and at his circumstances and starting sinking.
What did I do then?
You grabbed his hand and asked him why he doubted.
Then what?
The winds stopped and all who were in the boat worshiped You.
Do you think Peter’s step of faith made Me smile?
Of course.
Go and live likewise.

God is working on my small faith lately. I feel afraid as I sense His direction for my ministry. But above my fears, I long follow His invitation. I love to feel God’s smile. God and I have a thing about smiles. ๐ Which means when His invitation comes, I pray I will gather up my “little faith”, look straight to Jesus, step out, and smile back.
Together, hand in hand, we will explore new waters! Oh the life of walking by faith. A daily way to worship the Lord.
Is Jesus inviting you to have faith for something and let go of your doubts and fears today?
If so, step out. Follow His invitation. Feel His smile. Reach for His hand when you doubt. Worship Him when He calms your emotional seas.
It’s time to walk on water. Jesus is calling you, “Come!”

Thank you for stopping by for another Stop, Look and Listen post where I share how God speaks through the simple, the everyday, and the ordinary.
Wow – just wow!
So important in my life today – for many reasons.
Not only a reminder to focus on God when we have doubts and fears – but also to keep focus on Him when it seems life is going well.
Thank-you!
Oh Tiffany, this touched me right where I am today. Jesus and I are doing a little water walking together this month. You just made me smile about it.
I thank you for that – and I really thank Him for using you.
Love,
Teresa
This was such a blessing! Our pastor preached on this very thing a few weeks ago…and I agree with you…it's time to walk on water!
Tiffany,
Small steps of faith when added together makes our paths to God much more manageable! Thanks for this beautiful reminder.

Father God, I come… take my hand, lead me… lead me all the way. In Jesus' name, amen.
It really all just starts with one small step of faith, doesn't it? Thanks for the reminder.
Thank you, Tiffany. I needed this today. God is beckoning me forward into uncharted waters, and I need to focus on His smile more than the waves.
big hug turtle dove
Thanks for the beautiful reminder, love you.
Oh what i would do to have the faith to walk on water. It reminds me of the Casting Crowns song "Voice of Truth"
It's funny how we can have Old Testament and New Testament phases in life when certain stories speak to us more than others. I'm just coming out of an Old Testament phase when I really counted on the stories of Abraham and Moses–stories of exile, strangeness, and feeling displaced. You're living in a moment when the water-walking speaks to you more. That's the wonderful quality of the Bible. There's always a story that resonates with each reader, if we can only remember to rely on it.
Oh Tiffany, I feel that God is SO calling you to take that step out of your boat and hold His hand all the way. He will not let you slip. He will not let you fall. Let him lead you across the waters of FAITH. Just Believe. Keep looking to Him. He is standing right there waiting for you.
Hugs Rachel
Love that story. Love how Peter saw His Jesus and wanted to go to where He was… Love that he didn't sit in the boat….
Yes, I've been extended an invitation to speak at a women's tea. It will be the first time in almost 2 years…. I've been wrestling with God on it.
But Jesus… He doth overcome me!
Daily walking. Dailing answering the call. Over a lifetime that is faithfulness. Good post.
I love it when God calls us to step out of our boats ๐ It is such an exhilarating (and terrifying!) experience, but one that always ends with God's pleasure at our obedience.
Thank you for the wonderful message!
Blessings,
Lindsey
Oh what beauty there is….where faith and life collide. Walk on the water indeed!
I love you much my sweet little friend! I cannot wait to see what God unfolds for us ๐
Maybe a little turtle will like to come along ? You think?
Oh my my my ….don't Jesus look good on you!
Friend, this is such a touching Word. Can't convey my thoughts with my own.
Just know that I will be in the front row…always your biggest fan.
