I love my friends. I would credit many of them for helping me through some tough times. They are priceless in my spiritual growth and journey. Their prayers, visits, calls, emails, cards, and gifts kept me moving forward when I wanted to collapse under the weight of my shame.
And yet the sweetest times of my life are those spent alone with my God. I have journals full of the words I hear God speaking to me. I’m always amazed at how God never condemns me. He always encourages me to come closer and listen longer. He speaks life and only life, never death. Those quiet moments are the choicest of fruits. Rich. They are dark chocolate sweet. Even his conviction is sweet. He accepts the ugly in me. God touches a place in my heart no person can. He welcomes me into his lap. His embrace is warm and cozy. I am thankful for His spirit that draws me into his presence. I long to know my God more and more. He heals, comforts, and loves me. His love is perfect and complete. In Him, I find hope and rest. He is the great God of all comfort. He is good. And I am overwhelmed He picks me.
Thank you, Heavenly Father, for your presence. And thank you for the extra blessing of many friends.
Thank you, Michelle, for hosting this week’s quote.

There is absolutely nothing like that spent with Jesus! If only we could get to that place in our lives where that is all we need and everything else is just icing on the cake (or dark chocolate, as the case may be :), life would be so much simpler!!
Your words were perfect for this quote!!

Beautiful thoughts Tiffany. He is our bestest friend! As I meditate on Easter this year, I am so grateful to have my second best friend with me to celebrate our love of Jesus together.
The whole week is rich for me as I break and give Him the controls and submit to His Will for my life. I am made sweeter by Him and I long to be filled of more of His refreshing drink and food, that I become overflowing to the point that others needs are met through me.
May each of you have a Blessed Easter Season.

I too have journals full of words God has spoken to me.
In 2002 Papa told me that He was alluring me into the desert to speak tenderly to me (Hosea 2:14-16)…and He has been.
There has been nothing like it. Though friends were removed, ministries removed in order to get to the desert I would not trade the treasures of the relationship with Papa that emerged. No longer was he my “master” but He came to me as “Husband” (Hosea 2:14-16).
Blessings,
Julie
