I can’t believe after 5 years+ of blogging I’m starting a meme, but I am. When I first saw this handful of peas, I knew it was perfect. Don’t peas seem small and insignificant? Sounds like how most of us feel about our prayers, doesn’t it? But the truth is Sweet P’s(prayers, petition, praise) are big and significant to God.
Sweet P’s are: Prayers, Petition, Praise!
Sweet P’s is more than asking for prayer, it’s writing prayer. It’s you talking to God in your own voice. Short or long, specific or general.
The recipe for Sweet P’s are endless.
*Focus on one of the name’s of God
*Petition on behalf of our nation
*Petition on behalf of orphans, widows or for the rescue efforts of human trafficking
*Pray and link to another blogger who needs healing prayer
*Pray as the Spirit leads
*Pray for marriage, families or future generations
*Pray for our schools, teachers and children
*Praise God for who HE IS
*Praise Him for who YOU are in Christ
The point is write your prayer. No formula. No degree required. Just open your hand and your heart and offer SWEET P’s to Jesus.
Can you imagine how sweet it would be if blogs were covered in sweet P’s week after week? Powerful, personal prayers. Praise GOD!!!
So it’s time to serve up our first round of sweet P’s. I hope you’ll join me Friday through Sunday. (You never know who may need the prayer you write.)
Father God, thank You for the opportunity to pray. I love that my prayers are significant to You because I am significant to You. You find great pleasure in listening to me. Your daughter. You never tire of my voice. You always listen and never respond irritated. You are love. And I am Yours.
Thank You for who You are, God. All powerful. True. Holy. Everlasting. Perfect love. Thank You for loving me as I am. Weak. Half-hearted. Self-sick.
Lord, I pray for revival in the hearts of Your people. Don’t let us find any comfort in being lukewarm any longer. Shake us. Rattle our cages. Stir us up to become the passionate, compassionate, loving, sacrificial people you want us to be. Reignite our holy flame. Break our hearts for what breaks Yours. Help us heal from our past wounds so that we may live victoriously in Jesus. Heal our sick bodies. Remind us of how far we’ve come. Keep us humble. Enable us to walk in a manner worthy of Your name. Reveal our sin to us so that we may turn from it. Engrave in our minds the image of love, the cross. You, Jesus.
And help us remember each moment of every day that we are overcomers. Greater is He that is in us than is He in the world. We can stand firm on the Rock that will not be moved. We are equipped as Your sons and daughters to fight the good fight of faith. Like clothes we put on the armor of God piece by piece, and we put off the things and sins that hinder us.
Thank You that nothing can separate us from your love. Nothing. Thank You for calling us children and adopting us as Your own. Thank You for calling us friends. Thank You for calling us Your beloved bride.
Open our eyes to see You more today. Open our ears to hear You more today. Open our hearts to know You more today.
Create in us a hunger and thirst for Your Word. Renew a steadfast spirit within in. Help us believe You. We confess any unbelief. Search us and see if there is any wicked way in us and lead us in the way everlasting. You are our one true God. Our Prince of Peace. The King of kings. Lord of lords. We worship You in spirit and in truth. We submit ourselves to Your authority because You are trustworthy. We long to follow You. We need the warmth of the Son, Jesus. We trust You, God. We love You. In Jesus name, Amen.

That's my pet name for our daughter, Jennifer. It is because the sweet pea is a beautiful flower that was created by God. Every time I held this tiny premie, I would think of her as a sweet pea flower that God had given to me as a gift to nurture. I praise God for her and my sweet pea garden of Grandchildren every day! 🙂

I love how the Lord leads His daughters like this…I've been sharing Fearless Friday for almost two years now,,totally God's doing! I was going to call it Faithful Friday,lol. Praise God His ways are perfect!!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and joining in also on Fearless Friday. Denise has started doing her Fearless Friday with a video. Isn't she just the sweetest. She has been a prayer warrior for my family for almost two years now. Has been such a blessing and comfort to me each and every day with her faithfulness.
I praise God again..and again..and again…how He is leading His daughters to pray for one another. So many hurting, so many that need to know they are being thought of, prayed over and cherished….
