(Is it May 1st? Can you believe it was mid-seventies yesterday in Colorado and today it’s snow-rain-wind and in the forties? Should I be thankful for this? Or should I not? What happened to Spring?)
Thankful this Thursday for:
(random list today)
* National Day of Prayer today
* the support of community as we continue to help a single mom and her family(see previous post)
* a surprise e-mail from an editor saying he’s still interested in my shame book idea
* my agent’s wise counsel and willingness to endure all my questions and fears
* my writers group–their encouragement, their time and their talents. They help me write better. Best of all, they are my friends.
* laughter that echoes in my home(more teens = more silliness)
* a quick phone call with my nephew who turned 15 yesterday
* recent emails from new friends. I’m touched by the love of strangers.
* meals from friends
* my PACE Bible study. Especially this week’s lesson on forgiveness. Applies to everyday life and relationships.
* wise counsel from a couple dear friends
* God’s still small voice–my greatest treasure–my relationship with my Lord.
* my health returning
* my husband’s heart for the hurting
* all the people in my life. Each one is a special part of my journey. I could write a book on just them. About what they’ve given me by offering a part of themselves.
Thanks to Iris at Sting My Heart for hosting this week’s Thankful Thursday and for reminding us to be thankful again.

You have made me feel warmer. We have had a cold snap in our autumn, and it was quite warm before that.

Not sure I would want snow in May either, but those snow pictures are absolutely gorgeous!

I think it is so awesome that you have opened your home to a family that needed a place to stay – you love them like Jesus would have. What a great example.
Super that an editor is still interested in your idea – go for it, girl…God is opening a door for you.
And no – I can not believe that you have had snow, when you had 70’s the day before. Could have been in April, but May? Hm…
Thank you so much for sharing your grateful heart with us this week, despite the fact it snowed…
Be blessed today and always.
