Lord God, regardless of what is going on in this world, You are worthy of my praise. Always. Jesus, Your name is above every name.
Today I feel a burden for so many I know who are on the brink of losing hope. Those without employment. Those with chronic health issues. Those in difficult marriages. Those with troubled kids. Those bound to addictions. Those trapped in slavery. Those who struggle with shame and self hatred. Those who are single and desperately alone. Those who have prayed and prayed and see no change. Those who want to die because life is too hard.
Lord, please come and breathe new life into their hopeless hearts right now..
Do not let discouragement and despair rule them anymore. Slam the door of darkness and open a window of light. Package hope however You see fit for each person in need. Use Your sons and daughters to be hope transmitters. Use Your living Word. Use nature to remind someone of Your majesty. Use a song, a commercial, anything. Use a simple phone call or e-mail to say, “You are not forgotten.”
God, You are more than able to move mountains of hopelessness. Please, Lord, do it. Come quickly. Rescue your people.
Put on our hearts those who need our prayers today. Do not let us miss the moments where we can be a blessing. Every small act matters. Give us eyes to see and ears to hear the needs of those around us. Haunt us with the desire to extend a hand. I believe there are people hanging in the balance that need our touch.
Thank You, Jesus, for the ways You will come through. We praise You for the miracle of hope. Amen
(Need to add a linky program, the one I was using now charges. Bummer. Will research my options for future weeks. So if you want to add your prayers for this week’s Sweet Ps, please leave a comment so I know you have a prayer post up. I’ll come by. Thanks!)
