It’s that time again. Time to pass on another award. Thank you, Traci from Ordinary Inspirations for picking me as someone you feel shares “honest scrap.” I hope to always write from honestly from my heart. Someone gave this award to me before, when I wasn’t sure about passing them on. If it’s you, thank you too.
To participate, I’ve been asked to share 10 honest things about me.
1. I prefer coffee over tea. I named my blog “tea with tiffany” because “breakfast with tiffany” was taken. I wasn’t being very creative when I named my blog, but 4 and 1/2 years later I still like it. What can I say?
2. I love being silly or talking deep about God. One of the two places feels most comfortable. Too much small talk wears me out. I prefer depth or play. Unfortunately most of the world lives in the middle. Not deep or playful, therefore I don’t feel like I fit in.
3. I love learning. I thrive when life is always changing and I’m growing spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. Not physically though. I don’t want to grow there, thank you.
4. I fall asleep during movies. I get bored easily. The movie has to be really good or else it can’t be too late if you want me to have eyes wide open. I like the cat nap better.
5. Lately I wake up every day excited for my adventure with God. I’m always looking and listening for Him to speak in my ordinary moments. He never fails to amaze me. He speaks when life is hard and when life is good. Prior to God healing my brokenness, I used to wake up depressed, afraid or anxious. So thankful for His healing touch.
6. I love, love, love to encourage others. I love words. I find great joy as I remind others of who they are in Christ and who HE is towards them. Full of love. Mighty to save.
7. I dream of traveling to every corner of the globe and shouting out the love, joy and freedom found in Jesus! Every single person is significant.
8. I can’t curl my toes. Do you care? My kids think it’s weird.
9. I read under my covers with a flashlight or booklight almost every night. I try my best not to distract my husband who needs more sleep than I do. My solution: make a tent. It’s like kid’s play! Except I get hot in the summer, so I come out for fresh air. The winter is perfect for camping under my covers with a good book.
10. I don’t like shrimp, crab, or lobster because I’ve read too much about what they eat. Why would I want to eat them after TMI(too much information)? And to think, we pay big bucks for them. I prefer salmon or a fish if it’s seafood.

Now to pass this award on to 7 more bloggers who share honestly. Here’s my pick for today. I had a HARD time picking. So many great bloggers who share honestly. These ones came to mind first. They all encourage my heart too.

Thank you Tiffany! I am honored that you included me in your list of people to pass this award along to!
You are truly an inspiration and encouragement to me and I am so thankful our paths have crossed, even if just over the internet! Be blessed my friend!
Blessings!

My husband has the curliest toes ever; it's actually quite weird, but I've grown accustomed to them!
Loved learning some more about you; I'll give this one a thought for a future post. Thanks for including me. Tea will Tiffany sounds just fine to me. Actually, chocolate with Tiffany might be a bigger lure, but after reading you for a long season, whatever is on the menu would be fine with me as long as it included time with you.
Blessings and peace~elaine

I so enjoyed reading this and getting to know you more!
What we have in common: #2, 3, 6, and 7
And where we differ: #10…I don't want to know what they eat…I throw up the clueless card and enjoy my seafood…Yummy!
I love you girl!

I think this is just awesome about you! "I love, love, love to encourage others. I love words. I find great joy as I remind others of who they are in Christ and who HE is towards them."
That's one of my favorite things to do too. Despite the fact that you like frogs, I think we'd get along great! LOL! ๐

Tiffany,
I love learning 10 more things about you I didn't know before. I love shellfish, don't tell me what they eat because it may just alter my opinion on them, not that it bothers me to eat catfish even though I know what they eat.
I love that you read under the covers, I just take my book downstairs and read on the couch. It's peaceful and I love being alone with the house asleep.
By the way, I finally finished reading Real Moms…Real Jesus and I must say, great book! I learned to much in my walk as a mom walking with Jesus. Congratulations once again on your very honest award!

Now I am wondering what shrimp, lobster, and crab eat. I live in Florida. I should know this! I love all of those water creatures so maybe I do not want to know their diet. B

In thanks for your visit to my blog, I returned the favor. And I'm glad I did since several of your posts have already encouraged my heart.
I also love encouraging others in this journey of life. And, reading under the covers. However, as the Mom, I don't have to use a flashlight anymore. LOL.

This is really interesting…it's nice to know something personal about our blogging friends. I love shrimp and tea, but not at the same time!
Blessings,
Mary

Some of those things on your list just tugged at my heart. I also get irritated with small talk. I love humor and deep discussions. Not a lot of people want to include the very vulnerability of their heart and spirit when they talk about God. I have really been craving some real heart on your sleeve, dive into the word conversations. That and I love to laugh until I cry and if getting others to laugh means making a total fool of myself, well, its worth it. After seeing your attempt at the hula hoop I know we are kindred spirits on this one. ๐

Tiffany,

Hi Tiffany,
It's so funny that you prefer coffee over tea, though I admit "Tea with Tiffany" has a nice sound to it. ๐
I'm with you on #10–I'm simply not a seafood eater, period, though I force myself to eat salmon once a year or so. LOL
THANK YOU for the blog award, you're so kind!

I loved learning more about you, and enjoy that visual of you hunkered down with a book and a flashlight under the covers. You are so precious…
