We’ve all heard it or worn it. The Nike slogan.
Well, I did do some writing yesterday on my book proposal. And I must tell you all, God is faithful. I had NO preconceived ideas as I wrote an introduction. Who cares about an introduction anyway? Do people even read them? Not that much, I’ve heard. As I wrote, ideas flowed like hot springs. Where did they come from? I got chills. I felt empowered and passionate. The Spirit that lives within me offered me His strength when I was weak and wordless. I am still amazed.
So today, I praise Him from whom all blessings flow. Gotta get busy again and write some more.
Are you stuck in fear or procrastination?
If so, I say to you along with Nike:
JUST DO IT!
And watch what God does.

This is part of what make writing so addictive to me. While I feel the Spirit’s presence in other areas of my life, there is something about that moment in writing when I sense His presence helping me along that is so extraordinary.
My husband, a pastor, experiences something similar while preparing sermons. I really think it is how those of us who are called know we are.
Congrats!! And, for the record, I do read intros. It gives me a glimpse of the author I might not otherwise get!!

That is so awesome!
I read the introductions to books…so I’d read yours!!!
Thank you for stopping by my blog to visit. It blessed me so much…and yes, I think there is a kindred spirit at work between us.
I am looking forward to getting to know you and reading more of your heart.
BTW, when we were headed out to live in Colorado, we were considering the city of Monument. We would have been “neighbors”. God took us to North Georgia mountains instead…. We still don’t know why we God put Colorado on our hearts and then redirected us….
He has a way of doing that sometimes!
I can’t wait to hear more about the book!
Love,
Julie

Good Morning sweet sister.
I so praised God for your breakthrough today. You’ve often asked me how I do novels all the time. I think a lot and then “Just do it” start by picking up the pen in obedience to the Lord and viola, things begin to flow out uncontrollably sometimes!
Good description….Like Nike…just do it! That actually is what happened to me as I stepped out in faith to do my blog. I was afraid of many things, one was time constraints. But the Lord birthed it in His perfect timing and wow! I stand amazed at what He can do if we are obedient.
Love,
Paulette
