What does living in the truth look like in your life?
For me, living in truth looks like this:
*Confessing
*Grieving
*Listening to God’s still small voice
*Reading and meditating on God’s love letter
*Learning to speak honestly even if it hurts
*Asking for forgiveness when I’m aware that I’ve hurt someone
*Forgiving others when I don’t feel like it(not easy)
*Reflecting on all God has done
*Feeling the sorrow of this broken world
*Laughing
*Being okay with NOT being able to figure things out(trust)
*Accepting others for who they are
*Believing I am loved and accepted all the time
*Singing praises
*Giving of myself to those who need a friend
*Observing life and all of its wonder
*Thanking God for all He is to me
*Journaling to process my emotions
*Giving up trying to please everyone
*Discovering who God made me to be
*Surrendering my dreams, fears and pain to the Lord
*Waiting and wrestling with God often
*Embracing His new mercies everyday
*Risking my heart to truly love others
My prayer:
Heavenly Father, I long to live in the fullness and freedom of truth each day. I surrender all to you. Do whatever pleases you in me. My life is yours. Break me. Shape me according to your purpose. Help me rest in you every day. You are gentle and loving. I can trust you to tend to my broken heart and make it new again.
Now, back to my question to you.
What does living in the truth look like for you?

What a sweet and thought provoking post…
Living in the truth to me is all that you said,
and at this time in my life it is also taking a stand for the Truth no matter what it may cost you, knowing that the God of Truth that we serve is faithful and is all we need…
the Truth is what sets me free
the Truth is what puts a song in my heart and a bounce in my step
the Truth is what I cling to…
Blessings!

Living in truth for me is paying attention to the voice I am listening to. Am I following the voice of the Shepherd or the voice of the Stranger as it speaks of in John.
Am I telling myself what God says is true or am I swallowed up in the lies of the past?
The truth sets free. If I am not walking in freedom, then somewhere I am not living in truth.
Loved this post, thanks,
Hugs,
Julie

Living in truth…
Living free from guilt and shame.
Having a clear conscience.
Peace – even in the midst of a storm.
Being accepted in the Beloved.
Eternal Life.
(I’m praying for your Memorial/Celebration service Saturday.)

Love this post, Tiffany! It really is wonderfully thought provoking. For me, living in truth includes honesty, sharing Christ with others, being a friend, and helping others in need.
