Isaiah 43 and Thank You Internet Cafe Devotions

Sharing a word today from Isaiah 43:1-2.

1 But now, this is what the LORD says—
he who created you, O Jacob,
he who formed you, O Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine.

(Did you notice you are created, formed, redeemed, and summons by name? How ’bout the sentence “You are mine.” Yes!)

2 When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.

(I find comfort that even though I will pass through waters, God will be with me and He will not let me drowned.)

When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.

(Heat has a way of getting our attention, doesn’t it? Thank You for God not leaving me alone in the fires of life. Thank You for not letting the fire consume me.)
