For whoever finds me finds life
and receives favor from the LORD.
Proverbs 8:34-35 (NIV)
I’m not a good wait-er.
Are you?
It’s hard for me to stop, look and listen day after day. I get tired and I’d rather go and do like everyone else. Following God is intentional, it isn’t haphazard.
Lately I am off track. Not sure if it’s the change in daily rhythm of summer, or the fact that family was here or what. All I know is I need God. I need to get a life. I’m so lost and discouraged without Him. And like Proverbs says I want life and favor from the LORD. Today. Right now.
Father God, help me stop, look and listen to You today. You know how much I struggle to be still, especially lately. Restlessness invades my thinking. Yet in the stillness when I seek Your face, when I seek Your Word, You speak and direct my steps. I want to walk with You and do Your will. I want to live that abundant life You speak of. I need to find You and get a life. In Jesus name, Amen.

It is so sweet when you write that "I need Him." That longing is going to lead you in a perfect direction.
A favorite verse of mine is "He will yet fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy." Job 8:21

Hi Tiffany,
I hear you on this! I've just recently come back after a 3 month blogging break because I needed to find balance. It's SO easy to get distracted and off track. We desperately need to keep our focus lined up with His.
Blessings!

Hi Tiffany,
You write with an honest passion for Christ. As I read this post I thought of the words, "…I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly." (John 10:10)
God extends His grace to us in so many ways. May His love shower you continually with goodness.

mmmm…yes, it is intentional when we find our rythym with the Lover of our souls. I battle this intentional purposing each and every day…but the great thing about the Father we seek after is that He never frowns at our gut-wrenching search for strength, but rather delights in our battle that leads us back to His feet.
Praying for you today…from a heart that understands the shore on which you stand.

i was lost too or abandoned by myself.. but god FOUND ME AND TOOK ME HOME
I LOOK FORWARD TO EACHDAY AS A DAY TO THANK HIM FOR HIS FAVOR… AND I HAVE PROMISED HIM TO BRING MORE PEOPLE HOME WHO HAVE LOST THEMSELVES TO THE AFFAIRS OF THE WORLD SO MUCH THAT THEY HAVE LOST THE WAY TO THEIR HOME. ATLEAST I WILL TRY.

Amen…life in Him…the best there is…

There is such sweet, beautiful and purposeful design in the balance of being still, waiting and going when He directs…I struggle with this! Praying for you tonight my friend..know you are not alone!

At a Lenten Series I attended, the Priest who was speaking challenged us to start each day with a prayer giving the day to God to help focus our day and remind us that without Him, we would have no day to offer up. This has helped me immensely to keep my priorities in the right order.

Oh I am so in this place of "doing". I just blogged about how I want to sit at His feet like Mary, but yet all I've seen the last few days is Martha. My heart cry is to be so close to Him, to feel His heart beating in mine. Praying for you dear one!
