Here I am–out of my hiding place. It is spring, right? It sure feels like it. The wind is back in Colorado.
Where have I been? To the Grand Canyon and back! Loved it. My kids did too. I’ve also been taking a break from blogging. I’ve been doing all those things I’ve put off all winter, like cleaning closets and flowerbeds, and touching up paint. You know, home maintenance kind of stuff. I even fixed our gate that our dog chewed through last fourth of July! With my husband’s helping hand, of course.
So what brings me out of hibernation?
The massacre in Virginia.
I keep wondering what I could say and I can’t think of the right words. Often the best medicine during a time like this is our prayers and our presence in their time of need. Even our tears. Words aren’t necessary. A hug and a listening ear make a difference.
Romans 12:15b mourn with those who mourn.
Matthew 5:4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
So my heart goes out to all those affected. Our nation and the watching world mourns with you! May the God of all comfort comfort you!
