Do you have an injury from the past that causes you pain? I do. And now–twenty years after a couple minor car wrecks–I’m finally seeing a physical therapist.
The goal of my therapist is to loosen up my upper neck. It’s locked up. During my appointments, I feel great. I relax. That is until then he does the final stretch–then my neck hurts. Afterwards my p/t asks, “How do you feel now?”
“I can tell you’ve worked my neck.”
As I walk out, my shoulders and neck burn. But I know this is the way to healing. In a few more weeks, the memory of how my neck should work will kick back in. Or so he says it will. Yeah!
So I book my next appointment knowing I will leave hurting. I cannot stop my six week treatment. If I do, I risk living life with chronic neck pain. I don’t want that! I’ve done that long enough.
I love how God speaks using ordinary circumstances. When I listened to Him a few weeks ago, this is what I sensed Him saying.
“Like a physical therapist touches a body, I touch the heart. Make an appointment anytime. I’m available to work on you. Release those sore places to me. Remember you can trust me. My hand is gentle.”
Do you have pain? Do you need to make an appointment with His gentle Hand for treatment? He’s waiting. God wants to start working and healing your heart. He’s working on mine. And it’s good–a painful good!
(I will post soon about what I sense about my blog and my future commitment here.)

Hey Tiffany,
I’m so blessed you decided to go to PT. I pray it makes a real difference for you.
No pain, no gain as they say!!
It’s funny the chapter I read in my Breaking Free study today was on “Binding Up the Brokenhearted”.
It is truly God’s loving touch that transforms our lives.
Hey stop by, I’m having a give away this week!!
Blessings♥

Hi Tiffany,
Yes, there is pain. I’m so glad to know He is my Balm of Gilead and He soothes the pain as He covers and heals.
Happy Monday to you. I pray the Lord blesses you, keeps you and shines His divine countenance upon you.

This post really speaks to my heart, Tiffany. Healing does hurt, doesn’t it? But He is there through it all.
I am back from my trip and bubbling inside with everything we saw and did! What a blessing it was! I hope to post soon, still catching up!
Hugs,
Laura
