I've never looked at this verse as applying to me specifically and I don't feel like it applies to me today. Some places I step? Yes. Every place? No.
I'm going to read this in context and meditate on it.
Hey Tiff! God has SO used that verse in my "walk." To not move until I see the Ark of the Covenant move & to MOVE when He moves – to follow IT & not the ones holding it up who are fallible. TY for reminding me of this good word friend!

Yes – ABSOLUTELY this applies to me [us] today! God has given us an earthly 'promised land' right here and now. [scriptures-based in Joshua, Galatians, Hebrews]. The enemy stands on that land [many territories] so we have to fight him for it! But since God has given it already – it will be our good fight of faith [through prayer] that AWAITS its outcome. Just like the Israelites had an earthly 'promised land' – we too share that same promise – though the promises are different for each of us. GOD is FAITHFUL. What HE has promised – HE will bring forth – because He is a covenant God. The One who makes the promise – keeps and delivers it!
And yes – unlimately HEAVEN [in God's Presence] is the completion of our 'promised land' experience! But GOD has a plan and a purpose for us NOW as well!

Yes, I believe it today. It also reminds me of the feeling before my husband's co. moves us. It's happened five times so the feeling is getting pretty familiar. I'll need to tuck this scripture in my memory for the next move.

I believe that God's word is timeless and that all of it applies to me today. Because He is the same yesterday today and forever and He doesn't change…I can stand on His promises from His word.
Since I've been crying and whining about this very thing….I needed to see this picture today.
I have a necklace or actually a charm to one that was Wanda's. It's a tiny silver glittery flip flop. This one reminded me. I wear it on a chain. Trusting Him…for my next steps.
