(This is day 5 of a 31 day blog series titled Live Free. )
Go ahead, you can laugh at me. This pic shows how I feel after eating chips and salsa (my favorite snack). I choose chips for their crunch because it relieves stress. And I choose salsa for the healthy tomatoes, onions and cilantro, and of course, the spice.
Since day 5 fell on a Saturday, I thought I would write light since it’s the weekend.. Unlike the first four days of this series, laughing is NOT something I struggle with unless something is really wrong with me. Laughter is something I value, believe in and DO… I feel like I would die without laughter. Laughing has saved me from much despair. It’s healing and freeing.
I live freer when I laugh.
I highly recommend if you don’t laugh every day, that you find a way. Now, and fast..
Please tell me:
Why do adults laugh so much less than kids?
Why are comedies usually raunchy and off color? Why can’t film producers create funny without sexual jokes and F bombs? Because I need more laughter.
Why is it we laugh when people hurt themselves, like when someone slips and falls for example? I know I laugh. My son’s Falling video went viral because falling is funny. (and yes, he cleaned up his messes)
Oh and on another note about laughter:
If you’re not 40 yet, one day you will have something new to laugh at. One of the benefits of aging is you lose your close up vision, which means I can no longer see my armpits. Now to shave them, I do a “feel test”. It’s comical but great. If I’m going to lose sight of something, it may as well be my pits.
Here’s a 41 second video (of my goofy son being himself) to make you laugh. Enjoy!

Q4U: What makes you laugh? Please share in the comments on my blog or on my Facebook page.
