(This is day 9 of my 31 day blog series: Live Free. )
One thing I love and hate about life is change.
I love positive change.
*news of a friend’s pregnancy or marriage
* a once bad health report turned good
* a promotion or new opportunity
* a great haircut
* a healthier body and mind
* less fear and anxiety
* answers to prayer
I hate negative change.
* news of war, disease, natural disaster, or death
* cut in wages
* higher insurance costs
* weight gain and wrinkles
* divorce
* addictions
* miscarriage
I wish I could change:
* others
* my circumstances
* my past
* my weaknesses
To live free, I need to embrace change because like it or not, change is part of life. I can’t avoid change and often times I need change to change my ways….
And the truth is I can’t change my circumstances. I can’t change others. I can’t even change myself, but I can pray, “Please, God, change me.”
(***Side note: this post is NOT what I wanted to write. My plans changed so I didn’t have the margin of free time I thought I would have. Then my laptop froze tonight while I was writing this post. So basically to simplify my life and live free, I deleted my first draft of paragraphs and started over. I made this post short and sweet. And I don’t like the way this post turned out, but hey, some days are like that. Right? So I’m trying to practice what I preach. I’m free to change.. And tonight I changed courses.. I sure hope for better writing tomorrow… )
Q4U: How do you feel about change? Please share in the comments on my blog OR stop by my Facebook page.
