Finding Hope in Isaiah 43

I am reflecting on the amazing comfort of Isaiah 43 this week. I hope you will be encouraged too.

1 But now, this is what the LORD says—


he who created you, O Jacob,
he who formed you, O Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine.

2 When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.

Sidenote: Our Hiding Place radio will continue in late August. We are taking some time off to enjoy the beauty of the summer, our families, and to seek God for direction. Thank you for your prayers and support. I will post more about when our next show will air. We look forward to what God has for the fall.

    I do hope you and your family are enjoying the summer as you seek God for direction.

    I find it encouraging and uplifting to hear the word of the Lord say, "…I have redeemed you;
    I have summoned you by name; you are mine.    " — To know that I am personally called by God and that He identifies me as His possession is quite comforting.
