Have you ever had a Bible story follow you around like a stray kitten? I have. It’s this one.
15When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you truly love me more than these?”
“Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love you.”
Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.”16Again Jesus said, “Simon son of John, do you truly love me?”
He answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.”
Jesus said, “Take care of my sheep.”17 The third time he said to him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?”
Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, “Do you love me?” He said, “Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you.”Jesus said, “Feed my sheep. John 21:15-17(NIV)
Did you see it?
1. Do you love me? Feed my sheep.
2. Do you love me? Take care of my sheep.
3. Do you love me? Feed my sheep.

I love these words of Jesus and follow them in my way. There are so many sheep in need, if we each care for a few, that is a great gift we give.

Tiffany,
I love this passage because it reflects on the restoration of the relationship Jesus had with Peter. Three times he denied him and three times he was given an opportunity to restore what was broken.

Blessings Tiffany… You wrote this last Weds. for Laced with Grace but this is God speaking & preparing the way for you to write & share your story, which you did yesterday!
Yes, Tiffany, you DO feed His sheep!
Yes, Tiffany, you are one of His most precious sheep and so are the many that have passed through the waters of sexual abuse, shame, secrets covered up now exposed to the light!
Yes Tiffany, you DO LOVE the LORD and HE loves you with an everlasting love and now asks you to continue "feeding His sheep"!
Sheep are kinda dumb, ya' know but that why we have such a wonderful
SHEPHERD in Jesus!!!
Even this little sheep feeds His sheep and looks for the lost one, that needs to be restored by His aMazing Grace like me… isn't God good? And He led you from this pasture (last week's writing) through the thicket (in your sweet p's) to a place to RESTORE HIS SHEEP…(yesterday's victory story). May God use that to minister to many… I can see by the comments that there are many wounded, in need of a Shepherd, though they put on a mask and carry on… they need a work or His mighty healing hand! Praise God!
You offered His hand to them and more to come…
Love & hugs,
Peggy
