Have you ever wished life would stop right where it is? Things are going great and you love your current scenario?
Fall is one of those times I wish I could stop the clock. Why? Because it’s so beautiful. Right before the trees let go of the old, they give us an amazing show of what is still in them. New color! Reds, yellows, purples, and oranges emerge and capture our attention. Soon after, trees, once full of color, stand bare and go dormant for the winter season. What happened?
Oh, the changes of life.
I don’t know what season you are in, but I know who creates them. Nothing stays the same, except God. All of our physical, emotional, spiritual seasons will one day change. We know change is coming. God is the One we can run to in winter, spring, summer or fall. We cannot stop the clock, but we can embrace each new day as a gift from Him.
Fall reminds me I can fall into the arms of my Lord all over again. I can allow His colorful love to wash over me anew each day.
Father God, thank you for fall. Thank you for the beautiful display of Your creation. Thank you for each season in my life and what its brings. Teach me embrace change. Above all, teach me embrace You. In my winter, spring, summer, and fall. You are beautiful to me. In Jesus name, Amen.

Tiffany,
Love the picture of the three yellow trees by the water. Just seeing the picture and reading your words, comforts me and soothes me at the same time. I found peace once more! Perhaps this is the season I need right now, peace to just listen to God's whispers.

Hi Tiffany…beautiful photos and words. Change can be really difficult, but I think God brings us through changes in life to turn our eyes toward Him…change is a reminder that we are not in control, but He is. Love your beautiful way of saying things…gentle, yet powerful.
God bless,
Mary

Love everything about this post. So true. Fall is my favorite season too. Everything just seems so new to me. Not sure why but it does.

I love change and am on a year long journey of change myself. So your title today really grabbed me!
By the way, one of my readers stopped me last Sunday at church to say she accesses your blog through mine and loves reading Tea with Tiffany.
That's always nice to hear!

As I was driving home today, I took the 'scenic' route for a few miles to enjoy the fall foliage b/c Fall is my favorite side of year. I was even thinking, I wish it was fall all year round, but then I reminded myself that then there wouldn't be the beauty of snow capped mountains and icicles on eaves (no matter how much I wish them away) or the fresh buds of spring or the lush summer green.
Yes, it would be nice if time would slow down every once in a while, but the change is good.
Thank-you for this post!!!

I love the fall too, but haven't thought of it in quite these theological terms. Good job, and great pics.

What a beautiful post Tiffany. I am always in awe of God's artistry, the magnificent colors He washes through our lives daily. I try to remember that he didn't have to make things so beautiful, He could have simply made them functional, but He has allowed us to enjoye such beauty in the course of every day and every season of life. 🙂

Beautiful pictures and message. I am so grateful God is the same yesterday, today and forever.
As I was driving today I noticed where there had been leaves on a row of trees, there now were none…an ode to change…

Have to admit that autumn is my favorite too.

I always love your posts! Your words are so visual.
I'm savoring each season as it comes, but fall is my favorite. I've got an interesting chapter in a book I just finished reading I want to show you at the retreat. It's about spiritual seasons. It's very good.
