Every once in a while we see a radical for Jesus. Someone who seems a bit over the top. We look and look and look again. We wonder what compels someone to be so different.
As I snapped this picture, I wondered about this man’s life story. How did Jesus change his life? How long has he been riding his bike with this sign? I may not understand his peddling for Jesus, but I respect his boldness. He’s willing to proclaim the truth regardless of what others might think. He peddles that extra mile to make sure others know the Truth. People like this biker are the rarity versus the norm, aren’t they?
So often most of us take a double take at this man and his neon sign, but then settle back into our comfy couch. Saved by grace. Satisfied. We live, breath and go about our business as if life and others are no big deal.
But is that true? Is life no big deal? Do others matter? Do we have a purpose beyond just going through the motions living for ourselves? What about eternity?
Father God, inspire us to live boldly. Show each one of us our own unique way to tell the world about the hope we have. Jesus, you came and lived and died and rose again so that NONE should perish. Your love goes beyond our understanding. Help us live outside ourselves. In big and little ways teach us to proclaim Your name. As long as we have breath, we want to go and make disciples of all people. We love You, Lord Jesus. Thank You for loving us first. Your love never fails. Amen.

What they must have thought of John the Baptist. When I see people like in your picture, I am all too fast to judge what seems to be over the top. Then the Holy Spirit reminds me of the one crying out in the wilderness. How I long to be like that one shouting out "make way."
Bernadine says
Amen. May we all live more boldly for Him.

Hi Tiffany,
Although none of us can profess to be greater, we are all different and unique. Our differences do not limit how God is expressed through us; the Lord is the expression, not me.
I attended a business conference in Philadelphia and standing on a downtown corner was a woman proclaiming that mankind was condemned by sin and salvation was available through Jesus Christ. I've met Christians who express their faith in Christ through a quiet and peaceable life.
We are all different in our expression of Jesus, and yet, all of us comprise the body ofy Christ; this is a wonderful privilege.
I say, "Amen" with you…"We love You, Lord Jesus. Thank You for loving us first. Your love never fails."

Daughter of the KING, thanks for bringing John the Baptist up. He was wild for Jesus, wasn't he? A desert locust and honey eating kind of guy!
Bernadine, always appreciate you. So love your ministry for teen girls. Thank you!
MTJ,I love the diversity of the body of Christ. That's what makes life so fun and interesting. By writing this post, I hoped to challenge others to consider their uniqueness and use it to further the cause of Christ. I know some are sitting too comfortable right now. I'm sometimes guilty of that. We certainly aren't all called to be peddlers. ๐ Thank you for stopping by again and adding value to my post.

AMEN. This seems to be resonating in my soul lately. It's time I step out and become bolder for Jesus and not just comfortable.
Blessings!

Lord GOD, take me out of my comfort zone and use me for Your will, not mine. In Jesus' name, amen.
