Pictures of the 2006 blizzard in Colorado Springs!
This is way too early for THIS much snow. 18 inches and snow drifts much higher. We haven’t had this much snow in one day in nine years. But the snow will soon be gone. It’s suppose to be sunny and 50 degrees tomorrow and in the mid-60’s this weekend.
We’ve already heard there is NO school tomorrow, so my kids and I plan to get some playtime in. Hopefully sledding. But we have no sleds. We might have to use cardboard or borrow some.
And just think, I wore capris and sandals two days ago. ๐
People say if you don’t like the weather in Colorado, just wait an hour. Or in this case–a day.

Wow, your pictures look just like mine! The “official” tally for our area was 18 inches of snow today, but we had drifts of several feet. Fun!

That is so funny – cuz people say the same thing in Ohio – “If you don’t like the weather – just wait an hour” And it can be so true here too!
But must say, OMG to that much SNOW in OCT!!! I hope you guys are not sending it our way!!!
Enjoy your SNOW DAY – oh, I can’t believe I just typed that in OCTOBER!!! wink

Wow! We live further north and barely got anything at all!! In fact, any snow we did get has already melted away. But it definitely looks like a winter wonderland…
And I love the design Susie made for you. Beautiful!!

I hope that you let the dogs in…The pictures are very beautiful. I am truly not ready for winter yet. I need more glorious fall leaves. Have fune with the kids.
