As Hannah and I walked with our black lab around the neighborhood a few nights ago, this sunset captured my attention. I’m amazed at how often God use the skies to speak to my heart. No wonder I have neck problems, I’m always looking up. I feel like each new sky is like the very first one I’ve ever seen. Like a toddler waiting at the gates of Disneyland, I wait for God’s next brush stroke as He paints the night sky.
If I don’t say something or take a picture, I feel like I will burn up. The fire inside me burns hotter and brighter and I must proclaim how great God is. God is able to move heaven and earth. He cares for the lonely, heals the sick, and changes the worst of lives. God is the most creative artist I know. His beauty covers the skies and His love showers the earth.
Over and over again, I’m drawn to PRAISE HIM!!!!!
There is something about praise that truly changes my perspective. Taking my eyes off of me and onto Him is life changing. To live life to the fullest, I must praise Him! Or else I die inside.
Thank You, Lord, for capturing my heart and giving me the desire to praise You more each day. Please burn away my self focus. And turn up the flame as I praise You. Your Spirit inside me is like a blazing fire. Captivating like the colors of these skies. Warm. I love the heat of Your Holy fire. Jesus, I love and worship You.

Praise does truly change our perspective! I am thinking on my own journey and sorrows that I have had to go through and yet praising him through the storm has helped me realize that He loves me and is with me guiding me to where I should be! This is not always easy to do though and at times I am so drawn up in my own circumstances that I dont stop and see what He is doing!
These pictures speak to me of God's glory and burning passion for me! Thank you for sharing.

The firmament truly displays His Glory! I was driving home last week at dusk and had to pull over to watch that giant burning ball of fire set in the sky. It was as if I'd never seen a sunset!

I love the cloud filled skies either first thing in the morning or last thing at night because it means we are going to have a magnificent sunrise or sunset. Without them the colors don't pop and the shadows and light don't seem to be as brilliant.
Thank you for sharing what the cloud filled skies look like. We don't get them often but when we do, you know I am standing outside taking pictures.
