Today, I’m trying to get my life back in order and it feels good. Spring break is over. We had a good trip to sunny Arizona. But the truth is I’ve been behind for far too long. Within the past five days, I’ve given two different talks, similar in theme. Loved sharing my heart with others, but even still I feel tired. And life won’t stop. I’ve got to keep moving on because life calls my name. Taxes are due soon. My son’s graduation is coming and I’m behind on ordering his announcements. The list goes on.
I’m stopping in on my blog to say:
Your words matter, even your simple e-mails.
This morning I received a follow up e-mail on the She Speaks scholarship contest I entered. I didn’t win but that’s not my point. I’m still dreaming of going someday, even this summer if I can magically swing it. 🙂
Anyway, I replied back with a quick thank you. A couple hours later this new friend e-mailed me back with 204 words total, including her hello and signature. May not sound like much, but her words spoke volumes. Tears came as I read her encouragement. She spoke straight to my heart, reminding me to keep on believing and dreaming. I felt loved and seen by God through someone I’ve never met. The verse she shared was perfect.
I needed her e-mail today. And God in His grace had her send it just in time.
So the next time you feel led to say a couple words or write a simple e-mail, please do it. Don’t second guess or hold back because we ALL need daily encouragement.
Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 (NIV)
But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. Hebrews 3:13 (NIV)

Words matter – Yes! As do smiles, hugs and moments to cherish! I’m most thankful tonight for a treasured hour filled with your smiles 🙂

So true. I have had others come along and water my life just when I needed it most. While what they shared might not have been anything so grand, it meant the world to be at time. Gave me the courage to keep going. Blessings to you Tiffany.
