Sorry for my delayed start on Sweet P’s today.
Father God, What joy I feel today. Thank You for a most beautiful day with my son’s girlfriend, taking pictures downtown. We loved seeing all the hundred year old churches with such character and charm. I thank You for the gift of sight, the gift of a camera and the gift of friendship.
I praise You for the way You are working in my husband’s heart lately. I see Derek being drawn to the things that You care about: suffering people. Thank You for drawing Him closer to You and Your heart. Continue to stir him and his men’s group to be Your hands and feet to those in need, both near and far.
I praise You for great God conversations with my daughter this week. Thank You that she still comes to me for life’s issues. I love her so much. Bless her as she continues to mature into a young woman. Show her who You are, all powerful and yet so personal God, her Abba Father, her Daddy. Fix her heart set on knowing You more.
I thank You for my son and for the young man he is becoming. He’s full of personality. Creative. Sensitive. Athletic. A playful heart. Please prepare his heart as he moves closer to May 27th, his high school graduation. Lead him to the career path You have in mind. Teach Derek and I how to release him in adulthood with the love of Jesus.
I lift up so many people who are suffering in shame and silence right now from past abuse. Come LORD, comfort those who are feeling dirty and unworthy of Your love and affection. I pray over these precious lives. Please God reveal the lies of the enemy. Pluck those festering lies out and keep them out. Allow the truth of Your word penetrate deep into their hearts so that they may be healed and believe.
Lord, You want to redeem ALL people. No one is too far gone from Your hand of mercy. You reach for all. Always. You go the distance. Thank You for reaching down and rescuing the 33 men from the Chilean mine this week (link to 20/20 video of Miracle of the Miners)
There’s always so much to be thankful for. What a gift ordinary life is when it’s with You. You walk and talk with me moment by moment. I find such peace in knowing You are near. Thank You for rescuing me.
You are worthy of my praise. Always.
