Thoughts. We all have them. Studies show we have between 50,000 and 60,000 each day. Can you believe that? Wow, no wonder I used to have panic attacks. I was consistently thinking about future what-ifs. Fear is quite the fierce animal. Praise God for the freedom I’ve found in learning to rest in today! (I still have occasional setbacks, but nothing like before.)
So what are you thinking about these days?
I love the sweet reminder from Philippians.
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Philippians 4:8(NIV).
Father God, help me focus on You and whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent or praiseworthy. I have so much to be grateful for. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

I am with you Tiffany, too many random thoughts can lead to what ifs, and that is not a good path to go on. The Scripture is so wise, reminding us to think about what is true and noble, like your beautiful flowering tree.

Sometimes I wonder if I have all of these on those many nights when my mind races with all the things I need to do and worry about the next day. This is the very reason I keep a notebook and pen by my bed.
