I’m about to pop lately. Something is blowing up inside me and I’m getting more and more frustrated and feeling extra mouthy. The thought of “Tiffany, if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all” keeps me silent.
The ways of this world are unbelievable to me. Yet I shouldn’t be surprised, but I am. I can’t believe some of the things I’ve seen on the media and in the news lately. Will anyone stand or speak up for the children? Or are we comfortably numb and okay with that?
I’m sure soon I’ll speak my piece somewhere, somehow. But I wonder if my one voice will even matter. Who even cares anyway?
Before I say more I need a clean heart and the mind of Christ. I can’t speak out of anger. I’m brokenhearted. I’ve cried and ranted and I still feel a fire inside to shout out for those without voices. I’m sure the LORD is preparing me for more. Much of my frustration comes my own journey because I know what destroys a young girl’s heart. And my wild years give me a clue into the battle firsthand.
Please pray I speak up unashamed when it’s time.
Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting, Psalm 139:23-24(NIV).

Tomorrow on Our Hiding Place, I will be interviewing a dear friend of mine Sheila Ritchie about the topic of “Waiting.” Barbara Keene is still in the middle of a move. ๐

Tiffany, I have often found that when we pray for God to stir our hearts, He does so in His way with the very thing that stirs His heart.

Sweet Friend, I totally understand the frustration of knowing when to speak and when to be quiet-it is often like that with my beloved.
I'm lifting you up before the Throne.

Praying for you, Tiffany. The times of preparation are wild rides, hang on tight to His truth.
The verse that comes to mind is, Exodus 14:14 "The LORD will fight for you (and them); you need only to be still.โ
Gentle hugs,
Lisa

I feel the same way. It is a tough world we live in. God is being pushed out of everything…hard to believe & we do need to stand up for what is right at all times.

I've annoyed people by trying to inform them of the trafficking of children. I've wondered if I should keep saying anything, handing out articles, etc. I figure if I meet one of those kids in the next realm, I'd rather have them say, "Thanks for trying," rather than, "Why didn't you say something?" So, go ahead Tiffany, speak out. The prophetic voice is never appreciated during the generation it speaks. Think anyone studied and prayed over Jeremiah's words back in his day? They threw him in a well to quiet him! But God honored him. And he will you.

May the words of your mouth be acceptable in His sight … praying for you.
Angel says
I'm with you on the whole keeping my mouth shut thing. I have to really lean on Jesus and sometimes I shoot my mouth off when I should have been still. The way the world is and the things that are being done to kids infuriates me to no end. I know my past doesn't help that, but I do know that we need to always stand up for what is right and we need to stand up for the kids!! Praying for you!!

Tiffany,
I believe we all need to take a stand if this country is ever going to change. The smallest minorities are the only ones voicing concerns and they are swaying courts to make changes in our country we have never seen before. I know God hates passive Christians so it's time we all do our duty and speak out with loving kindness and stop waiting for God to intervene.

I am sure that the prophets in the Bible felt the same way. Moses was certain no one would listen to him.
Jennifer @ Getting Down With Jesus says
May you speak with boldness. I do pray for the anxiety to diminish, but that the holy fire within you would NOT! Go get 'em girl!

I totally relate to you on this one. Let us all pray before speaking, and yet let us all speak when we should. It is easy to take the "timid and quiet spirit" too far, don't you think?
Joan Davis says
It is always difficult to know the right timing, but you are doing the right thing to pray for God's leading. He'll show you when and where He wants to use what He has placed on your heart.
I said a prayer for God's guidance as you seek to honor Him with your words and that a peace will settle on your heart to show you when the time is right.

Darcie says
God gave us a voice so that He can speak through us. Just allow the spirit to guide your words. There are those that will listen, and for those that won't…pray for them!
