Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NIV)
Sometimes our spring seasons have setbacks. Just when we see growth and new buds forming in our heart, we find ourselves buried knee-deep again in winter. What happened?
Life happened, right? And life is hard.
I want to encourage you today if this is you to hold on. God promises us the change of seasons. Be ready to receive because the sun is coming again and its warmth will melt away your heaviness. Soon the weight of winter will no longer be on your shoulders.
The unexpected storm serves a purpose because when it’s gone, your leaves and blooms open up with greater depth of color, greater beauty. What a sweet surprise to see God’s glory revealed IN you.
Oh, the joys of spring!
SIDENOTE: Wednesday 10AM MST on Our Hiding Place, Barbara and I will be sharing “Red Light, Green Light.” Does God give us directions for our daily life? Does He say stop and go? What can we do at the crossroads of life? Please join us live if you can. Call in or chat online.

Wonderful analogy.
We had such a snowy winter and have had such a beautiful spring that the thought of a late spring snowstorm makes me want to cry. But, you're right. We never know what will come our way. Yet, even then God is with us.
Blessings on your radio program. It sounds like it's going great.

Tiffany,
I love this post. We too need to remember the past times that the Lord has graciously brought us through the storms when we lack the faith to endure the ones we are currently in. His promises endure always.

Thank you for the reminder. Even when a spring storm comes, the light of God melts the coldness, and reveals His glorious beauty, time and time again.

Hi Tiffany,
Great post! I particularly liked, "Be ready to receive because the sun is coming again and its warmth will melt away your heaviness."
I remember looking at the last snow we received in our area and concluding it had been the harshest winter in ten years. Then I got the thought that out of all that snow and cold, God would bring warmth and beauty.
Blessings to you sister.

How true Tiffany, how true.
I am coming out of a very long season of winter. In fact, the current season of storms has been much longer than any other season of *winter* that I can remember. The line that just blessed my heart in your post was "because when it's gone, your leaves and blooms open up with greater depth of color, greater beauty." I pray that is true with me.
I'm so excited to hear about your radio opportunity with B!
Blessings to you,
Lora

Very nice post…I love your attitude and what a great reminder of God's promises to us. But I still hope it doesn't snow any more this year 🙂

These bad things happened to you because I intend to work it together for your good (Romans 8).
These happened so that you would rely more on God who raises the dead (2 Corinthians 1).
This happened so that the gold and silver of your faith would be refined (1 Peter 1).
This thorn is so that the power of Christ would be magnified in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12).
God cannot make plain all he is doing, because there are millions and millions and millions and millions of effects of every event in our lives, the good and the bad. God guides them all. They all have micro purposes and macro purposes. He cannot tell us all of them because our brains can’t hold all of them.
Trust does not demand more than God has told us. And he has given us immeasurably precious promises that he is in control of all things and only does good to his children. And he has given us a very thick book where we can read story after story after story about how he rules for the good of his people.

There are treasures hidden beneath that snow! I love snow – especially when it is unexpected! When I see snow – I do not think of a storm – I think of God's Love blanket wrapped around me and the purity of that love He has for me.
But I did catch your 'drift'!
Great post and hope to catch you today!
Love to you, Stephanie
