I’d love your prayers for this Sunday. I will be sharing a 15 minute message/testimony to about 40 – 60 teenage incarcerated boys and girls. So many of these kids are deeply wounded and alone, which makes Christmas an extra emotional time for them.
I sense a message of forgiveness, healing and love brewing in my heart. I plan to skim the surface of my life story and then dive into God’s story of redemption.
As you can imagine, there is a spiritual battle over these kids. They’ve come from some rough, dark places and have made bad decisions in response. Can you relate? I can.
I desperately need prayers to be an effective communicator with limited time to share. Please pray my words are handpicked by God. I’m believing for change in these young lives, for invisible chains of shame and self hatred to fall — and for freedom and new life to come rushing in.

Wow, I already prayed that your words will have wings into their hearts, to lead them on a good path.
Here is a favorite verse of mine "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers." 3 John 2
Oh, and "Ragamuffin Gospel" explains how Jesus hung out with people who were ragamuffins, which these teens may be. I recommend this book to everyone.
He's given you this opportunity to use your gift. He's given you some thoughts on what to share. Now stand confidently, open your mouth and allow His words to come forth with healing in each syllable as they fall upon the hearts of these hurting children.

What a tremendous opportunity! Reaching out to teens while incarcerated is a wonderful ministry! So much can change for these kids once they know someone cares for them!
