(Christmas cactus blooming in my kitchen window right now! Isn’t it amazing?)
As I’ve prayed about celebrating Christmas this year, God reminded me of the beauty of last year. I took the entire month to REST in Him, intentionally allowing Him to lead my days. I said no to my regular commitments to seek His face. I felt refreshed in spirit. As I followed His lead, I made some major changes for the new year. I experienced bittersweet goodbyes and new beginnings.
I sense God wants me to do the same thing this December. Rest in Him. Seek His face.
What does that mean for my blog:
Starting tomorrow, I plan on sharing simple posts: a photo and verse Monday through Friday. I may write more as God inspires. I may post less if God leads. I will be prayerful about visiting other blogs, which means I may or may not be able to visit yours in return this month.
Please pray for me as I turn my heart more towards Jesus this month. I will be praying for YOU.
Just because I may be busier with Christmas activities doesn’t mean I have to be busier at heart. I want to stop, look and listen to God more.
Thank you, precious friends, for understanding. I love and appreciate you so much! ๐

My heart echos your sweet sis in Christ. Having my new baby girl, I look at everything with eyes that wonder how she will see what I am doing. Christmas and Thanksgvings and New Years are about being thankful for what we have including a Savious who gives us second chances. I will take up this challenge to simplify December right down to making sure it is only about Jesus, only about His Grace, His choice to simplify right down to being a baby in a manger. I think that is a simply wonderful idea.

Is a good thing and a great example to seek Him first. Tiffiny, I know He will meet you and expand your heart amazingly.

Tiffany, your December plan is what it is really about…pondering the birth of our Savior…what He means to us, what He means to our lives, both here and for eternity. He IS the gift of Christmas…as sisters and brothers in the Lord, may we all be joining you in this time of putting Him first and foremost in our Christmas plans.
God bless you, sweet Tiffany…you are so precious.
