With Thanksgiving approaching this week, I woke up with this song on my mind. Not sure why. Maybe because I know many who are struggling with the holidays this year. Life is hard sometimes. My prayer is that we can all still give thanks regardless of our circumstances. There is always something to be thankful for.
Though the fig tree may not blossom,
Nor fruit be on the vines;
Though the labor of the olive may fail,
And the fields yield no food;
Though the flock may be cut off from the fold,
And there be no herd in the stalls—
Yet I will rejoice in the LORD,
I will joy in the God of my salvation.
Habakkuk 3:17-18(NKJV)
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus, Phillipians 4:6-7(NIV).

Tiffany- very good. Thanks!
And I don't normally like to do this, but it fits so perfectly- last month I really feel like I had a God idea to start a site where people could cultivate thankfulness by sharing and reading testimonies & devotions. It's called the Everyday Testimony Project and I would love for you and others to check it out, share, and be encouraged.
Blessings and happy Thanksgiving!

Beautiful video, Tiffany. Those were my thoughts yesterday, as I spoke with a friend on the phone…realizing that many people have no family, have lost a loved one, have family strife…so many reasons for this season to be unwelcome…yet, if we know the Lord, we truly have everything, for He IS everything.
Beautiful, heartfelt post…my prayer today will be for us to be focused on haves rather than our have nots.
Wishing you a happy Thanksgiving…God bless.

Tiffany,
I love this post because we all need to be truly thankful for all things in our life, good and bad. Once we realize that and start living a life accordingly, then we may not have to weather those storms for quite so long. There is always something to be thankful for in any situation, we just need to find it.

I've never heard this song before, either, but it is wonderful.
You are right: the holidays are a tough time for many people. I have a friend who lost his job this weekend. I know a young Christian family whose house is going into foreclosure. They have two children.
Oh, the needs that are out there. We can pray, give, share, hope and help, and turn to God with gratitude for the blessings we have. And we can share those blessings. And we must! None of us know for sure but what some of these losses of others today could be ours tomorrow. Christ works in the Christian community for us to serve each other.
Blessed song.

Holidays can be difficult with the loss of loved ones. I wrote about this very situation on Sunday as I miss my mom so much.
But there is always something for which I can be thankful. This song is a good reminder Tiffany. Thanks for posting it today.
Love,
Debbie

I first heard this song this past Saturday on a song meme…several people posted about it…it really tells the message of Thanksgiving, so it's no wonder it is playing through so many hearts and minds this week…beautiful scripture verses…and it is so true what you wrote…"There is always something to be thankful for."

Hope you have a great Thanksgiving Tiffany! I haven't had time to blog lately or to even visit blogs, and I really miss popping by! Homeschooling keeps my plate very full, and I have been getting ready for the in-laws to visit, they are here all week for Thanksgiving…
Be Blessed!
