Back in November of last year, I spent a week at our Prayer Center here in Colorado Springs. My heart was heavy and I needed direction. God spoke over me as I sat with my Bible and journal and listened. Some of His words were very loving and others were strong but kind.
This morning I’ve spent time again revisiting my journals, rereading some of the words I’ve heard over the past year. I find comfort in knowing God continues to motivate me to trust Him and believe.
Here’s a bold word I heard when I was doubting my abilities. Maybe today someone needs this reminder. I know I did.
“You’ve believed a lie. You think you aren’t able to speak of my praises because of your past. You think you have to stay here. Down. Silenced. Oppressed. That’s a lie. Deny it power. You are equipped in Me. So quit thinking you’re not old enough, educated enough, or smart enough to make an impact. Now go. Go and be bold because of Me. For Me. Never ever run from My plan. Embrace it. Believe.”

Wow that is a powerful message from God that you uncovered in your journal today! Perhaps its confirmation for something you have been debating doing!
I love your hummingbird pictures as well, even here in the High Desert, we supply two feeders and keep them well fed all year long! I just love how they have such personalities!

So many times, I feel that I am waiting to be more educated or just want to know that what I am feeling is God.

I love this post. Thank you for sharing it with me. I use to believe in lies, sort of the same ones. I especially thought I was unlovable because my dad left me when I was a baby. Once Jesus opened HIS arms to me without any conditions on HIS love, I no longer believe in them! HE is my truth!

Humming birds are indeed my favorite too. Great shot! These were good reminders as the enemy wants to knock us down and make us believe we are worthless for the work of the Lord for our past, but it's our past that we use to give Him all the honor due Him for what He has accomplished in us. Keep going sister!!

Tiffany,
I've read part of your story you've made available on your blog. I've listened to your radio interview of your story.
I would say you are qualified to speak out BECAUSE of your past. You are among those uniquely equipped by God to speak, teach, lead and mentor. You can touch souls that others couldn't get near.
I would agree with the message that came to you from God: Don't believe the lying spirits that make you doubt God's call upon your life and your role in his kingdom purposes.
Just a little something from Judy says
When we feel inadequate like we so often do, it is then that we realize how much we need Him to do for us what we can't do for ourselves. You are a special vessel that God is choosing to use, for His honor and glory. He can do amazing things through you, and I believe He is now and will continue to do that. I understand the feelings that you shared,and I enjoyed my visit to your blog.

Jennifer @ Getting Down With Jesus says
A Word for you (and for me) to remember when the enemy tells us we're too young, too immature, or whatever lie he dreams up. Here's Truth:
I am young in years,
and you are old;
that is why I was fearful,
not daring to tell you what I know.
I thought, 'Age should speak;
advanced years should teach wisdom.'
But it is the spirit in a man,
the breath of the Almighty, that gives him understanding;
It is not only the old who are wise,
not only the aged who understand what is right.
— Job 32:6-9
The Word of the Lord. (Thanks be to God.)
