What an amazing weekend. Amazing worship. Dancing. Singing. Powerful speakers. Little sleep. Laughs and tears galore. New friendships. Lots of driving to and from ministry center where we ate simple meals and slept Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. The students donated enough money in one spontaneous offering to build an orphanage. I was overwhelmed by their sacrifice.
I felt the presence of God as I prayed over this hungry generation of Christ followers. God spoke clearly to me to continue to pray for this young generation. My heart aches to go to the ends of the earth to care for the needy and be a light for those who see only darkness.
So thankful for the experience with about 2000 students from middle school, high school and college. I would do it again in a heartbeat! Hannah loved it. It was long, long days for middle schoolers but they held on tough. Saturday night after the conference was over our group of 35 shared what God did in our hearts. I was blown away by the stories of our kids reaching out and praying for other kids who were crying up front. Many heard from God clearly for the first time ever. An up close and personal encounter with the living God.
Thank you, Lord…
Thank you to all who prayed for this event. Please continue to pray for these kids. I don’t want this to be another mountaintop experience that fades away into apathy. I want them to bring God’s light to the world.

Oh my, looks like you had a blast!!
I went to a youth conference in Los Angeles in 1999, I was about 12 years old and we received a bomb threat on New Year's Eve. You know what, we didn't care. We had faith in the Lord and we knew He would protect us!! About 5,000 pre-teens attended that night when it became the year 2000!
Not one hair was harmed but hey we made it in the newspaper for our bravery 😀 ah, good ol memories. That conference inspired me and I still remember it like it was yesterday!! I pray it will have that same effect on the kids who attended <3 I enjoyed your pictures!

I am continually amazed at how and why and when and where our God works. This is another indication of His power and love that is alive today…working in hearts and lives…all for His purpose and His glory. Thanks for sharing. It encouraged my heart today.

This is so amazing. I love the hunger some in our younger generation seem to have. If only there were more like them our future would be looking so much brighter. May God bless every single heart and soul that was there that day and every person they come into contact with after that!

Tiffany,
What an exciting post!! Wish I could have been there with my kids and youth group. Experiences you share like this with your children will last a lifetime and will shape their destiny so positively.
I've been off the blogging circuit for about a week now. Trying to catch up with other things, which I haven't done. I've just been talking to my editors about some snags with the book, and I think we are about to have them resolved. I should know in about 30 minutes. If so, I'll be emailing the mss. off after that. I want to send you a copy when it is done if you like. You are a frequent visitor to Family Fountain and I want to say "thanks."
