I Was Hungry…
I was hungry and you formed a humanities group to discuss my hunger.
I was imprisoned and you crept off quietly to your chapel and prayed for my release.
I was naked and in your mind you debated the morality of my appearance.
I was sick and you knelt and thanked God for your health.
I was homeless and you preached to me the spiritual love of God.
I was lonely and you left me alone to pray for me.
You seem so holy, so close to God,
But I am still very hungry –and lonely –and cold.

OH, my… what a message in this! Something we all need to remember… praying is oh, so important. But, we must not leave while we are praying!

OH how truthful! May we always remember Jesus’ words, “whatever you do for the least of these, you do for me.”
Thanks for sharing Tiffany! I pray you have a blessed week!

Thank you for sharing this as a reminder that we can never get too comfortable within our own lifestyles! It’s our responsibility to extend out to others who are hurting. They are precious souls. That’s why I believe volunteering and serving is SO a part of our mission work as Christians.
The words leaped off the page and into my heart.
Paulette Harris says
I am so ashamed as I am reminded of where Jesus really is. I am guilty beyond words of constantly missing opportunities to serve Jesus. Forgive me Lord as I try to work and listen harder in the new year.

I found you through Laura’s blog. The inviting beauty of the page is juxtaposed by the huge indictment of those words!
WOW…that is what we should all feel…something to wake us up from the cozy, stupor of our safe little world!
Thank you for that message, Tiffany!
Blessing in HIM!

Words that are so true and very convicting… I get so comfortable in my own little world, and so busy with my own schedule or to do list that I am sure I miss opportunities to share His love to often…
Praying He will help me to see others thru His eyes and feel with His heart…
Blessings!
