Today I am thankful for:
* my hearing. My daughter’s laugh is contagious! This video is dark, but the sound outweighs its visual poor quality.(please pause my music player to hear her giggle.) We were watching Wipeout. Why is it so funny to watch people slip and fall?
(not sure why this has two screens! I’ve never uploaded a home video before.)
* my vision. As an observer, I’m always taking in the sights like these. Justin and Hannah on vacation. Rainbow, driving back from the airport after our vacation. A sweet bird at my feeder. My girl enjoying watering for me.
* my hands. Recently read an email about the hands of women of five generations from babies to great grandmas. There was a photo of the five hands in a circle. As I read the email I teared up knowing I’ve never liked my veiny hands. Who am I to be ungrateful for my hands God gave me? My hands give me the ability to touch, hold a hand, type, write in my journal, prepare food, drive, ect.
* my friends Beth and Julie joining in on Thankful Thursday.
Thank you, Iris, for focusing on the word hope this week. Love that word, wouldn’t be able to live without it. Visit Iris at Sting My Heart to join in or read other blogs who are thankful

Tiffany,
This was just GREAT!! Loved hearing your daughter laugh, she made me laugh!!! I’m smiling as I type.
I pray she never loses her joy and that precious laugh.
What a great list. I’m especially thankful for your hands too. God has used them to reach out and touch many deep parts of my heart time and time again.
Hope you are having a good day!!

How sweet…she made me laugh too! We do take for granted the senses that God gave us. Thank you for that reminder. Thank you for the laugh.

Tiffany,
As someone who loves to laugh, I heartily enjoyed hearing your daughter’s laughter – what a joy! ๐ I had to giggle at your post about the veiny hands. I remember when I was a young girl I would look at my mother’s “veiny” hands as she played the paino. I wanted my hands to look like hers someday because they seemed so graceful, and yet strong. Now my hands do look like hers and I see my mothers hands each time I look at them, lol. ๐ I will join you in being thankful for hands today! ๐
Have a blessed day.

Tiffany, you really captured the moments with your camera! Beautiful. Unfortunately my computer wouldn’t let me watch your video ๐
I can relate to the hands thing. My thumbs look a bit like big toes, my family loves to tease me about them. When I was kid I would hold them inside my hands. Then one day while teaching children’s church, I used them for an object lesson on being thankful for how God made us…how I couldn’t help my thumb, and a little girl who is very small for her age rose up and stated that she couldn’t help her height issue either.
I said “Thank you Lord for my funny thumbs!”

Tiffany,
We have so many wonderful things to be thankful for everyday! I like how you pointed out about your hands. I too have complained about how my hands look as I smear creams and other so-called age defying chemicals to try to slow down the aging process on them. Great point–“My hands give me the ability to touch, hold a hand, type, write in my journal, prepare food, drive, ect.”
Lord, I thank You for my hands. Please forgive me for taking them forgranted. As Tiffany pointed out I can touch, hold, type, write, cook, drive and so many other things. I thank You Lord!!
I love the pictures!
