Why is it we have such a hard time enjoying our lives? I believe God wants us to enjoy every day in his presence. I also believe God smiles when we are living out his design for our lives. But so often, women in particular, feel guilty if they are having a good time. Why is that?
I’m throwing out a challenge for you to find something you love and do it today or sometime this week. Guilt free. For God’s pleasure and your own.
Are you good at baking or cooking? Make something yummy and share with a friend or neighbor.
Do you love to serve behind the scenes? Volunteer once a month or quarter.
Are you a giver naturally? Give more. Think of new ways to give in secret.
Is encouraging second nature to you? Look for little ways to spur on just one person each day.
Are you drawn to those in pain? Call your hurting friend.
Do you love organizing? Declutter one closet or your pantry or fridge.
Is gardening a passion? Plant a flower or vegetable you’ve never planted before.
Are you artistic? Create something from leftover craft paints. Scrapbook or make a collage.
Are you a writer? Journal your prayers, your dreams, your fears.
Do you love nature? Take a walk. Read a book outside.
The list could continue forever since we are all unique. Here’s a few more: Singer sing. Dancer dance. Reader read. Comforter comfort. Preacher preach.
**Live this day being who God created you to be. It’s the only day you have. The present.**

Going on a walk this week – I’m just going to do it and not feel guilty about leaving the kids home with dad. Plus, I’m going to spend more time encouraging others. It fills me up!
