I’ve been tagged. Okay Rachelle, I’ll play the game. Here’s the rules:
Each person starts with 8 random facts/habits about themselves. People who are tagged need to write their eight things and post the rules. At the end of your blog, tag eight people and list their names. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.
Okay, now on to the eight things about me.
1. I love saucy and spicy foods. I ask for extra sauce or salsa almost everywhere I eat. It’s almost embarrassing! I put Tabasco sauce on my eggs. Chili paste in my ramen noodles. I add Red Hot to pizza, Chick-Fil-A chicken sandwiches, cut veggies and whatever else sounds good. I use at least three hot sauce packets per Taco Bell taco. Well, you get the picture!
2. My first job was a paper route when I was thirteen. Cannot believe I pedaled my bike by myself to the grocery store parking lot every morning at about 5am. Then I had to knock on each door for collections and tear off a small stamp size ticket for them. That Christmas, I made $90 in tips and thought I was rich. This job taught me discipline. So what’s up with my lack of discipline as an adult?
3. Now on to my second job, I worked at Dairy Queen. I still make a mighty fine looking cone more than twenty years later. ๐ I’m known to laugh watching people create ice cream flops at self serve machines at buffets. I love it when they can’t stop the machine. And I’ve been known to teach children and adults alike how to make a DQ style cone!
4. I’ve jumped over the border fence trying to get out of Tijuana, Mexico and back into California. What a scary place to go as a twenty year old with my best friend! I paid $30 cash to keep an American guy from going to jail. He peed in the alley and got caught.
5. I went to a different school for kindergarten, first, second, third and fourth grade. I was an extremely shy and insecure girl. I have huge compassion for the new kid.
6. When I was nineteen, I rode the city bus to work for about a month because my car died. The bus is another adventure in itself.
7. During my junior summer, I volunteered for a week at a camp for the mentally challenged(not sure what is politically correct). I was so moved by my experience afterwards, I looked into that as a career. I changed my mind when I found out the pay was minimal and the demands were high.
8. My husband, Derek, and I eloped in Las Vegas. 1991. We have an eight minute video that we watch and laugh at still today. It’s sweet and yet corny. I don’t regret getting married this way. I’m guessing my family and Derek’s might say differently since they all missed out. But it was inexpensive and low stress. We felt like stars walking through the casinos. Someday I would love to renew our vows with faith as the foundation. We weren’t walking with the Lord during this time.
There’s your entertainment for today!
I’m tagging:
I’m tagging a few of my friends too who don’t have blogs. You know who you are. Like my buddy Pam!

Wow, love your list! You are quite the little dynamo, you bus-riding, Las-Vegas-eloping adventurer! I think the extra Taco Bell sauce is an adventure in itself, ha ha. Thanks for playing!
